Si, You did an amazing job of taking those of us who couldn’t be @ Foragers of the Foreshore along with you through the exhibit. I’m in the US and coming to London has long been a dream of mine. Even before I learned about mudlarking! I was hoping someone would take some pics or something to show those of us who couldn’t come a little bit of what it was like. Imagine my surprise when I wake up to getting a notification that one of my favorite larkers posted. I opened it was so happy to see you did a whole virtual tour! It felt like I was right there! What a way to start my day! Thanks Si !! Among your many talents you can add videography to your list!

Really a magnificent exhibition - when seen altogether like this you can really see that you mudlarks have made an astonishingly large contribution to the antiquities of Britain, sort of what archeologists dream of finding in a dig- you find by luck and chance on a river stroll! Back in the day when I was much younger I used to do the same here in America but as you know, we aren't "quite" as old as Britain in depositing current items as future treasures for others to find along our rivers and it is glorious therefore to see them found along yours! Great job really and a lovely professional level exhibition!

As a brand newbie to mudlarking I didn't of course know about this exhibition, so massive thanks to Si for this comprehensive video guide. I just can't believe the fantastic treasures that the past has offered up in the mud, and it was great to be introduced to some of the other mudlarks and their collections of treasure. Some fantastic associated art too. What a wonderful world this is to discover. I really do hope that the hoped for creation of the Thames Museum comes to fruition. These collections need a permanent home under one roof. They are a real treasure trove of history.

Simon, I love the show! So wonderful to have so many mudlarks showing their finds and the importance of the mudlarks. The art work is stunning. I have 2 garnets about the same size as the ones the little girl found. I also have numerous trade beads, as I do beadwork and have a love of the old beads, handmade and with such a story. So happy to see all my favorite larks being honored there. So proud of all of you!

When you pull the artifacts from the mud it seems they have a less of a significance then when they are displayed. It brings them to life and causes your imagination to wander to a time that is lost.

I must confess that I've now watched the video five times to try to absorb it all. To the Stupendous Simon, the Fantastic Flo, the Nonpareil Nicola, the Amazing Anna, the Marvelous Monika, and all the other Mudlarkers and Anonymous Souls who contributed time and effort -- Thank You! Thanks for an awe-inspiring, first-rate exhibition -- for a look at what should be an annual, if not permanent, installation of fascinating finds from these Foragers of the Foreshore. I'm certainly looking forward to the book that encapsulates this experience...I'll be ordering a copy as soon as it's announced to be available. (And to whomever did all the hand-lettering of all those labels and to those in charge of the vitrines for placing and displaying all the incredible finds -- a huge Thank You and Recognition for the unbelievable tasks of painstaking exactitude)...You are all to be commended! As I said before it was absolutely brilliant! Karen, Washington State, USA (Simon, please share my thoughts with all.)
