Beautiful scenery 💙 You’re not being a “hippy” or “weird”, simply appreciating the land and all its splendor and natural treasures. I respect and admire that conscientious attitude. 👍🏼

i respect the way you appreciate nature. it’s not even about hippy stuff. i wish it was so common that it wasn’t made fun of like that. the plants really do deserve respect

Thank you for your comment, and for watching. I completley agree with you. It's interesting how far removed a lot of people are from the idea of connecting with Nature. It's not even a connection, in my opinion; if anything, it's a reconnection. I think that most of the people that follow my channel are on board with this idea and aren't in need of the hippy jokes, but you're right, it is unfortunate that being "one with nature" has fallen into any other category other than HUMAN.

Thanks! I appreciate that. I don't put a ton of effort into spreading the word about my channel, so its probably my fault that I don't get more views. I guess I'd rather get less views and spend more time outside. Thanks for watching--my viewers might be few, but I appreciate them!

Thanks for this. I'm looking forward to foraging more soon. I didn't really get out much last year because I'm super new. I also am not really sure what I am doing, lol. KZbin has been so helpful to learn things so I figured I would try "Alaska foraging" and here you are!

Awesome! There’s always more to learn, but just getting out there is where it all starts, so good luck with that this year. Also, as you’re just starting out, proper plant identification is obviously an important piece of all of this, and I always learn a lot just by going out and spending time with all the plants (usually not even foraging anything). I take photos of plants I don’t know or try to find the ones I do and study them in their different phases of growth. This is all helpful not only to plant ID, but also in getting a better sense for where each type of plant is most likely to grow. And finally, the more you learn and connect with the places you wander, the deeper your respect becomes for those places and that’s usually even more rewarding that the food you might bring home.

respect for nature is so necessary and yet, where I live at least there's none, people just dump all their trash out here(by the truckload) and it's very sad, but your video was beautiful as always, wishing I could be in Alaska right now lol

People trash all sorts of places, unfortuately, but the desert--like your stomping ground--is one of the most neglected places. People often fail to see the beauty in it and falsly assume that it's just a wasteland. The videos you post of the beauties you find can be a valuable peice to helping others see what you see. The desert can definitely be a bit of an "aquired taste," but once you aquire it, it is something so precious, that it's hard to even bare the thought of leaving trash behind. So keep those videos coming, and keep being one of the "non-trashers" that walk the lands.
