Multiple Bird Strikes In My Garage Built Airplane

This is a video of several bird strikes that I had when flying my homebuilt Cozy Mark 4 airplane one evening upon approach to the airport.

Why do you need a CO detector in a rear engine airplane? Thanks for posting the video!

Because the cabin heat probably uses an exhaust shroud and can introduce CO into the cabin

Getting the air to go forward from the exhaust would not be simple. I suppose maybe a strong fan. Most of these rear engine airplanes use a front mounted oil cooler heater.

I have a heater that receives hot air from the exhaust pipes and is vented in the cabin.
