I loved the excuse given as to why Rich is selling the home. Rich actually renounced her US citizenship in 2011 and didn't want to pay taxes on whatever. I guess if people knew about that reason, they might think twice about buying from a woman who is rich enough to afford to be greedy and stingy. Though perhaps prospective buyers won't care, so why lie about it.

@vanessaliu6487 жыл бұрын
you guys the reason why it's so expensive is because of the LOCATION. it's so rare to have such a good size property in nyc especially right beside central park. don't think that just because the house itself isn't spectacular that it's not worth the money. think about it, for one million you could get a decent mansion in texas whereas in nyc you could probably get a small apartment with no view.

LOVE what they did with the hand-painted cove mould in the bathroom!!!! I wonder if the chandelier in the dining room was a substitution for something finer that would be leaving with the Owner (things get sticky, when the Buyer wants you to throw in a priceless rock crystal antique,, as part of the purchase price - so it's best to have those go to storage, before you list your home) or if this has been there for a while. Nothing wrong with it. We've owned more vertical variants of it. And it seems to be hung with better crystal than usual. But still, those are under 20k.

Horses for courses, but Branson's island tops them all for mine. I'm sure some people would get a bigger kick out of being able to tell people they owned 'the largest apartment on 5th Avenue', but that island has something you could never buy in NYC : total seclusion from the rest of humanity. The fire would have been devastating for Sir Richard, but I'm guessing he was able to put the pieces back together and carry on.

***** a hmm different taste. if you're going to spend $20 million on a house I think the bathtub should be the size of a hot tub jacuzzi style and the shower should have like five heads blasting water because that to me is luxury. a nice kitchen wide enough to have five different dishes of food cooking white and grey marbling. I mean to me that's a modern style more fit for the modern women but we can agree to disagree.
