Honestly, it's just a big house, Our family had friends who lived nearby who has one of the largest homes in the area. I would house sit when they went away. It was intimidating being there alone, but I began to realize that it's just a large house, It was beautiful, but still, just a lot of space. Just like they have 60 rooms of which most are never seen or thought about. I like small homes that are tastefully done.

I worked in aviation interiorsas well as yachts over 9 yrs of my life before that iw as in heavy commercial construction as a carpenter . and I have always been a detail woodworker , and clockmaker on my own . I would greatly enjoy seeing some these details of which you speak of in these videos in the mansions . I would also enjoy seing the Vanderbilt mansion and the hurst mansion in California . some very beautiful work . nice video work . yeah! 1992/1993 were the best years to buy any major property for pennies in the east coast - a friend of mine bought a 4 story brownstone with 6 wings for 20K - the building was falling apart but it was a block away from the city hall in jersey city - 3 years later he sold it for 4 million after renovation took him 300K barrowed from the local credit union - i mean those particular years were the best of the best due to combination of property prices and huge amounts of money could be barrowed as a credit towards business expense with super low interest - and why is that such a good time? because authority taxed land owners so much (few times than what we pay now) that the land and any property on it would end up abandoned - literally! - no one would care any longer - and the banks would not bulldoze them down for some reason maybe thinking someone else will come and buy the land and property but no one was coming any longer - so the land and any property on it would become worth of pennies or simply obsolete - these days banks learned that bulldozing down such property is the only solution to get money for the land so a new owner can build a new property on it - that's what the banks think afterwards - they forget that not many people have a will to build brand new something but rather just renovate and repair what was left as a property - so my guess is that there is a hidden war for what's best for the future property owners without really taking a page from the 1992/1993 years as they were the best years for the future property owners -
