The interviewer made me feel like he was trying to learn how the soup was made so he could tell the person who sent him. Those people steal his intellectual property. Im not saying it’s what happened, it just came off that way. Its how it made “me” feel.

5:30 Artists won't use this. Non-artists who hate the idea of paying artists (because they don't value us as human beings) will use this. They will ultimately steal art from artists to input into the machine. Which will and has caused conflict and will result in legal action making the whole business model non-viable. Never sell out. Make art with your hands and pay artists.

People like me want to create games, but morons like you charge hundreds and thousands of dollars for getting stuff done.. for a person who resorts to game making after loosing a job, or in other dire conditions, it is a blessing for people like us.. even if I have no money for making a movie, but I have many ideas, then it will help us a great deal.. so no matter how much you sob, people like him will continue to innovate to help people like us..

I think I know where you're coming from, but it also helps to look at things more positively too. Change has been constant throughout history, and more so since the industrial revolution. That's why you're here on this platform, which for example enables people like you to showcase their work, collaborate etc. And people being very strongly anti-change has also been a constant. I personally feel like my livelihood is threatened because I develop software and AI is getting better at it every day. But people who embrace new technologies become more efficient, move into higher order functions of whatever they were doing (e.g are able to focus more on the creativity) and become more valuable. In my case, coders who fully embrace AI will take software jobs (from those who don't) for years, before AI can do everything itself. Consider seriously trying out a lot of different AI tools before criticizing them. You might be pleasantly surprised, regarding how they end up benefiting you. There's also typically a section of the market that cares about the output of humans that aren't machine-aided (e.g hand-crafted art/craft and other products e.g postcards, food, track athletes etc). The market size/number of jobs varies though -- in some cases it eventually shrinks to zero. People also create communities where they can somewhat thrive while isolating themselves from the change they don't like. It's tough though.

As one who has supported/worked w/ artists and still do, I believe this is a moment where deeper collaborations can take place. I think one of the points being made is that a client may not want to wait for a canvas rendering of image x. Just like he took art and design to a job working in automotive/at NVIDIA, I think artists can take their skill sets and be an artist and help companies w/ better renderings as they handle the engineering end of the process. As an artist, I'd want to be able to walk into a room and take some of my sketches and show how I could bring them to life in moments. His comment about what is NOT going to change -- TASTE -- is very point. Going from car design to NVIDIA, taste us what got him there.

@hendriksprikdesign In business you get things that are good, fast, or cheap. At best, you'd only get 2 out 3. 1) Good + Fast = It's not going to be Cheap. 2) Good + Cheap = It's not going to be Fast. AI will make ALL Good and Fast workers Cheap. Everyone else will be out of work.
