Yes he is a joke. As hegseth himself said numerous times a secretary of defense should not be of party polarity but at the same time he wouldn't answer the questions on trumps misuse of military on citizens and future potential use on allies. Hegseth also kept praising Trump and kissing his ring while attacking Biden. Does that sound as if he is qualified to this non-political position?

Mullins insinuated the entirety of confrontational address of Hegseth revolved around personal indiscretion. That was false. Repeatedly, Hegseth was queried as to how he could be relied upon to square what has been his unequivocal stance insofar as roles of women in the military (not positive) against a backdrop of there being a prodigious female representation in the military AT PRESENT. I would suggest Mullins is laser focused, ironically, about questions revolving around non-military contexts as he claims (falsely) has been the precipitous strain of Democrat objections regarding Hegseth's qualifications to lead a department he makes no pretense he objects to many already in service being in service.
