SBF attended MIT, where Gensler was a professor teaching crypto courses, and Garys boss at MIT was the dad of Caroline Elison, SBFs girlfriend and partner in crime at FTX and Alameda Research. Gary met with SBF many times leading up to the collapse of FTX, taking no action against FTX, meanwhile suing Ripple for selling crypto asset securities, and in that case the judge ruled that XRP in and of itself is not a security.
