Until the laws are changed they do have the legal right to request asylum. It is not as simple as telling them to go back home. Once on American soil the whole process is complex. Even deportation means the receiving countries have to accept them in return.

It can’t be, especially when they are given free accommodations, medical (most Americans either have to pay insurance or go without), food stamps and money. I was a single mom to 3 young girls and worked full time. I got paid $10-hr and the government would not help because I worked. Flabbergasted me. I didn’t get medical, food stamps or anything and I did work and pay taxes. But now I’m expected to pay for other people here illegally getting better benefits than I have?
