They are. The reality is qualified people are DENIED employment because of race, sexual orientation, disability, and so on. The presumption that anyone who is not straight and white is inferior in the workplace disgusts me, but evidently not you.

@@Dr_JSH DEI reduces the quality of minority resumes as employers realize the applicant very likely received preferential treatment in acquiring the stated "qualifications". Just another reason why discrimination of any kind is morally wrong as well as ineffective and a poor business model..

@@oilsmokejones3452 Based upon his unstinting admiration of the EEOC, it would not surprise me to find out that Dr_J earns his paycheck as a federal employee, I. e., feeds at the bottomless federal trough. In addition, I’m gon’ say that he, like Bernie, AOC, Biden, et al, claim that “the big corporations” are greedy to a fault. Then I’m going to ask him, If the “big corporations” are so very greedy, how can it be that they are not hiring these so-called superlative, superior than white, workers, superior simply by “virtue” of the fact that their skin is shadier and standard testing places them at a severe disadvantage vis a vis Caucasians applying for the same position. Why would greedy corporations hire the less productive white people when so much talent is readily identified and easily by Dr_S because he uses divination, not aptitude scores to tell risk/reward individuals how best to employ their own wealth?

@@Dr_JSH Dr _J, I’d love to know how many disabled, minority, LGBTQ+, those with a mutation in the fibroblast growth factor receptor FGFR3, or those with three copies of chromosome 21 you have in your employ. Because you can hire all of those you like and see how long you stay in business in your chosen profession. No problem qualifying any member of those sects, just lower the standards so that all of them meet the qualifications, just like Harvard and Berkeley and Oberlin. Please let us know. Or you just a risk-averse academic, sitting in one of the oft-described ivory towers, one who has never had to make payroll in economically hard times, hat in hand to get a bank to try and tied you over until conditions improve?

I agree but only after employers are required by law to pay a living wage, which is anywhere from $108,000 to $148,000 a year for a family, two adults, and two children.

Give thinking a chance. Trump's administration was packed with misfits and crooks. How many Cabinet members came and went throughout "Our Long National Nightmare"? How many other executive-branch employees? How many in Trump's White House were fired for criminal or unethical behavior (gambling addiction and debt, domestic violence, etc.) yet were re-hired?

A fantastic way to get rid of all those “millions” of complaints is to abolish the EEOC. Employers take the risk of starting a business and keeping it profitable. Employers are the best judges of what persons to hire to accomplish those goals.

Discrimination has been outlawed in our country for a long time. The issue is that companies have been violating that law and not being indicted for it, because DEI-supporting attorney's general and prosecutors let the cases go in their support for the agenda.
