Pretty much. FFLs, upon closing their business, must give all records to (the ATF, I presume). Goes without saying that suppressor records are kept. On a side note, despite old information still out on the web, the FBI keeps any background check records for concealed permits for an indefinite (aka forever) time. Fingerprints as well. All this is rather academic. All the government needs to do to search and seize firearms on your property is pass a law that states ammo purchases are enough “probable cause”. And all those companies - online/offline - are going to hand over that information out of fiduciary duty (fear of losing profit if they don’t comply with the government). No subpoena necessary. People are scared of gun registration - and rightly so. But that’s an old fashioned way governments behaved, right before confiscation. They don’t need registration to know who has the guns. They just need data and some bureaucrat, law, or regulation to take them. And, obviously, the Constitution can’t prevent it from happening, as evidenced by the countless anti-property/gun laws, seizures, and homicidal raids.

Took 2 1/2 year for them to deny my NFA application for a suppressor. Got a letter saying I “may be a prohibited person”. No more explanation than that. Had to enter an appeal online through the FBI website. All for their permission for me to have a suppressor so I can help protect my livestock from predators.
