Serious answer: I think this very same man explained that these talks are given after hours when the work of congressmen ought to be in their office doing individualized tasks at this time, and these presentations are predominantly only for broadcast or later viewing. These talks are for transparency, not for unified presence presentation. *edit* obviously I'm not defending congress... they're useless. But specifically the empty room now is not a sign of indifference. Rather, the lack of action overall is the sign.

A democracy does not last very long under that situation. If a politician made the average amount that their district made, then they would damn sure fight to have the incomes of their constituency rise, as it would rise their wages. If they can not do that and want to be corrupt, then it will be so obvious that nobody will vote for them. @@fear_the_smile961 inflation is when something becomes worth less than it was a year ago? I do not believe you are correct. That sounds more like depreciation. Monopolies are not common anymore but functionally most markets follow oligopolies. These form the same pressures through collusive acts. Debasing a currency can happen when you print too freely. That is partially, but not primarily, at play here.

Inflation is always a monetary phenomenon. It occurs when government prints money (or creates it on a computer). Whenever the money supply expands or inflates without a simultaneous increase in the amount of goods and services, you then get "price Inflation". "Price inflation" is a different thing than inflation of the money supply.. They call it that to purposefully confuse you, so that you blame the greedy corporations and not the Federal Reserve and the bankers. (Although greedy corporations aren't angels either) Check out the number of dollars in the system that were created since 2020. I can't remember offhand but it's something ridiculous like 40%.

To hear about how these illegal immigrants are being handed everything, and I don't 'qualify' for a wheelchair. To hear how so much money is being sent to Ukraine and elsewhere when I see and know so many homeless vets, and elderly, handicapped people out there...doing without. And all those who should be filling those seats, are living great, and yet, can't even attend this? Sickening. Cuts are made for people like me. I have paid in my whole life. It is useful to ask who identified these basic problems early and how and why they tried to raise awareness. Who objected strongly against centralized banking and why? Who pointed out that the math made it obvious that continuing growing national debt would lead us to where we are going? (Ron Paul, Birchers, etc) Who was most vilified in the popular culture? (same). I'm not happy to admit that I fully agreed with my state representative Ron Paul, but I was afraid to do so openly because people were conditioned to see such supporters as total nut jobs. I tried to argue for awareness of the need to control government spending, and restore restrictions on corporate power. The very few people who could think enough to consider my arguments always reduced it to a matter of my being psychologically maladjusted.

I've approached it from every angle- making my portfolio more versitile, breaking my back everyday at work, and generally doing anything I can everyday to be a better employee and I'm realizing really fast it's pretty much for nothing. The only hope of not living paycheck to paycheck I have and moving out of my freaking mom's house is by making my own money. I hope all these businesses fail. I hope anything who owns more than one house loses everything. I'm willing to do anything to not live focusing on surviving week by week, the only problem is that the tools provided by the system do not work, so I'm at a point where I need to make my own or just give up and kill myself. So many groups talk about our lil generation that just for the most part tries to do right and stay tf out the way, but honestly, most of us either older or younger millennials are just exhausted. It’s like no one gave a fuck about what our future would be… Especially Boomers. They created this mess around us and have ZERO intention of doing anything about it… as we see they are almost hellbent it seems to allow the entire thing to fall apart. They wonder why we aren’t in the same places they were yet they are the reason we aren’t able to be in said place. lol It’s refreshing to hear this, but I don’t believe it’s genuine honestly. We’ve heard this all before, some guy that’s *different* that has a different perspective and that says shame on us…. Meanwhile he’s in the back signing and accepting checks to his lobbyist groups that directly impact younger folks in the same way he claims to resent. So yea, it sounds nice but…. WE BUILT this country. People under 40 dont want to do ANY work. THIS was due to government and corporatd greed. Not the boomers!

Healthy diets, healthy lifestyle. I support these necessary changes to lower costs to Medicare coverage. Processed foods aren’t healthy. Cooking should be as normal as sleeping at night.

I was broke before this guy, and I'm sure no matter who wins I will still be broke regardless of how many hours I work. Regardless of who you blame, it won't change.

I genuinely appreciate this man in congress. I’m going to look more into him because this is the 3rd time I’ve seen him speak and his transparency is refreshing! Thank you, signed a concerned citizen. I’m going to do better on my side as well cause boy, we’re kinda screwed right now 🫠😂

A lot of the reasons most college graduates are leaving for Asia and Europe are visible in his charts. Living may be harder everywhere, but it's easier everywhere than the US.

I'm glad they said sorry, now I'm sure that will repair the generation of people they crippled to enrichen themselves. Or will it be more talking and zero action again? They arent sorry, the people living paycheck to paycheck are struggling, words are cheap. Thank goodness these people get paid 170k+ a year to avoid work and not even show up. Pathetic.

We citizens run this country. We are the ones who hold our ELECTED leaders accountable. That fact is, we simply have not. We have turned over our responsibility. We are to blame and nothing will change unless we change it by voting out ALL these people.

It's not completely our fault. When you can't keep up with the day to day, it's difficult to find the time to focus on the people who are millionaires who take office to become more rich. Lobbyist who pay them for special interest to run and vote for corporations who already ger subsidies. The system is working against the average knowledge and capability of each American, other than what the media is paid to tell us. If you listened, you heard him say we are very sick physically as Americans. Functiioning day to day and being ill...you don't think about what to do aboit millionaires in control.

A lot of them problems in the government come from people who aren't voted into power as well, but people who just get hired to do a government job, and can't get fired because of how government unions work.
