This woman’s agency is one of the most effective in all the government. She is a rockstar. Give her the money. Unless you’re afraid that the corporations she goes after stop giving you campaign money.
@ImTheMan0fSteel5 ай бұрын
LMAO she has lost over 75 percent of every case she's brought to court. She's a hack, not following the law (literally by her own admission) and wasting all our money. And she is absolutely hated among lawyers, judges, and her own agency. Which is well documented.
@diaganguly1092 ай бұрын
Her job is to enforce anti-trust laws. It sounded like the issue they are having is that she is enforcing them too much. I am not sure what they want her to do…like overlook some violations once in a while. If they don’t agree with the anti-trust laws maybe start there. She answered her questions well.

The fact that yall are so bothered by a department that is meant to stop corrupt and illegal business practices is very telling for a business magazine

Blocking mergers is not a bad thing. Allowing them creates monopolies. I have to ask, how are they in leadership when the average citizen is more informed than they are with all their "Intelligence community think tanks"?

More mergers mean LESS choice for consumers!! That is a BAD thing!
@meganhale61645 ай бұрын
Not necessarily. If they're going to go under a merger may be the only way to preserve a smaller company. It also may just eat the smaller company. It really depends on the intentions and plans of the company taking over. This is where the FTC steps in. The problem is people like you are focused on the wrong things. Who tf cares about another meaningless brand option when Americans have absolutely ZERO choice whatsoever when it comes to what matters most? Do you have multiple options for your electricity, gas, or water providers? No, there is one choice per area creating a monopoly. We're all for renewable energy being it will lower our monthly costs but we're just not there yet. Biden and the Democrat's political plan to attack American energy production for votes from the common-senseless has led us to today where our electricity bills are higher than our mortgages. If we're being honest and realistic America would cause far less harm to the environment creating our own energy than Russia and China bc if we're not doing it that's who is. Neither of those countries have energy production standards anywhere near that of America's. So, yeah let's decimate more Appalachian communities just like they did when they refused to stand up for American made steel. You can go choose from dozens of toilet paper, shampoo, clothing brands though so we're good, eh?

@@meganhale6164 I'll just have to politely disagree with you! The utilities (monopolies) that you mention are highly regulated! Their profits in most cases are fixed, and they are also operationally restricted in many ways! As for energy production, we must transition away from fossil fuels, and saying "we're not there yet" is absurd! More than 20% of all US energy comes from renewable sources, and that continues to increase! Despite that, the US is still the world's largest producer of oil, and a net exporter! No one is "attacking US energy production", but Big Oil continues to spend a fortune on propagandizing climate science, for PROFIT! It sounds to me like you have really signed on to corporate greed in a big way! You even use their talking points! Finally, need I remind you that it was the GOP's (Reagon's) neo-liberal policies that said, "Let's turn the economy over to the private sector, and let them run free! The government is not your friend! Let them do their manufacturing where it's CHEAP"!!

When people talk about “government” being the problem I assume they mean Congress. This video confirms my view. I rarely see a clip of a congressperson grilling a government regulator when I don’t think, “wow! What a grandstanding, pompous, douche!”

Economic success?... Does she realize they're trillions in debt? Um... Don't they print their own money? Economic genius... Somehow create debt... with your own printing press... Yep... I'm confused

STOP WASTING OUR MONEY. You're wasting it. You can't win, you know you can't win, you KNOW you have no legal basis for your lawsuits, yet you double down! And then you come crawling for more cash?? No. Give her nothing.
