Finally, I found the Otterbox installation video I needed to put this on! I couldn't figure out where all the pieces were in other videos when Amazon shipped me just 2 parts - the clip & the case. I would never have figured out how to separate the parts of the case w/o your video. Good job - thank you!

Thank you - video very helpful. One more thing, if travelling or doing anything where phone not needed. ( ie, rock climbing) The kickstand / clip can go onto the front of the phone, enclosing the phone completely for 360 degree protection!

Great review! This is the only case I ever seem to like. I got my S23 Ultra yesterday and I already had my Defender Pro waiting for it! My favorite thing is the amazing rubbery grip absolutely everywhere on the case. Any time I try anything else I always end up returning it for being too slippery.

I've used an Otterbox Defender Cases- but it's weakest point is the same tab/clip on the holster than makes it able to rest on a surface- on all cases I've had that small clip has- broken. Granted you can call Otterbox and ask for support- on one case the holster broke- they sent me a replacement holster. On current case for my S10+, again the holster tab broke- they sent me- not only the Holster but a complete case/holster (granted wasn't in a retail package). In these 2 above occurrence- I didn't purchase the original retail packaging from Otterbox- one was an online store and the other an Ebay purchase- once I had to send them a picture of the holster for verification that I indeed have an Otterbox Defender Case. Again it's basically up to CSR discretion- especially if they see no purchase was directly through them.

It would be cool if you made a video showing how good these fit in your pocket, how good it slides in and out, I have the feeling this will have trouble sliding in pants pockets bc of the rubberized material, I had this kind of problem before and ended up buying a i-Blason.

Is it just me but the one flaw i saw with the case is the dust cover for the charging port i cut it off but in a way i can put it back in ,i feel i pushs the charger cable down and might damage charging port. Anyone else think /do this?

I thought exactly the same thing. I was gonna cut that port cover myself but I decided I liked the case as much as the phone so I decided to risk the port damage. After a few charges it doesn't seem to put quite as much pressure on the charging tip as it did at first, but you're right that this is the one flaw in the design.

I recently got the commuter otterbox for the s23ultra after i dropped my phone and it got a stratch on the top side right by the microphone, it adds bulk but i dont want my phone to break or stratch again

the defender pro has an antimobial protection, design is a little different, and the pro has slight better protection. i will be reviewing the otterbox defender soon

Is there also a front lip on the side? So that the display is also protected on the long side? I have the problem: my Note 10 broke despite the Otterbox on the edge of the sink because the case on the long sides of the display does not protrude and protect. Does anyone know?

I have Whitestone dome glass on my S23U with a blue otterbox defender pro. Insure you have the glass centered top to bottom, mine was almost to high. Also I may redo mine because the finger print sensitivity is not the best. I've seen people push down a little after first UV cycle to improve print reader.

It’s a good box however I found out that if you do construction or work out on the elements the box itself scratches the edges a little bit where plastic meets phone frame when some dust slips in , I prefer the otter commuter because the rubber is on the inside

Don't buy this case! After a few months, the rubber becomes loose and pops every time you touch the screen. Incredibly annoying, this case is a total waste of $50.
