I agree with the rules to do with politeness due to practical aspects of lolita fashion (e.g. being careful not to hog seats). However, I think fashion should be about expressing yourself, not fitting into a mold, so the rules about not running or laughing seem very unnecessary and restrictive to me. Wearing lolita does not mean you have to change your personality and behaviour, especially for such trivial and normal things like laughing and running.

Most people who wear lolita fashion keep somewhere the dream they could feel like a princess thanks to the fashion. Now, princesses do get very strict education about manners, and don't need to run because they have people running for them in the first place ;) These rules can look stupid, not adpted to modern lifestyle, and we even make fun of them here, but if you think a little you should realize lolita fashion is not about modern lifestyle in the first place ;)

Wow. XD Misako is awesome. I laughed too hard at her slamming that box with her skirt. It seems like it takes someone who really knows the ins and outs of a subject to make good satire of it. Misako definitely fits that. She also has experience with people overthinking (and overreacting to) her every thought and opinion when it comes to the way to wear lolita due to her status as a kawaii ambassador and very popular lolita model. Also, even if some of these rules are taken to humorous extreme, I don't feel like it would hurt to keep them in mind a bit. In the end, it just amounts to being courteous toward others and even yourself. (not knocking stuff over everywhere, not being obnoxious, not scuffing up your pretty shoes by kicking them every which way). No one's perfect, but we can all stand to improve a little sometimes.

If you don't like sweet (never liked sweet anyway it just ruins your Victorian look) just do Gothic. It's epic when people are able to pull it off. And if you like the style and want to look the best the best I think is to use Rococo Lolita because you can do any kind of style with it but with an amazing princes looking twist. (not cosplay or maids because that's ita and no one likes itas).
