Game Description:
Satisfactory is a first-person open-world factory building game with a dash of exploration and combat. Play alone or with friends, explore an alien planet, create multi-story factories, and enter conveyor belt heaven!
Construct
Conquer nature by building massive factories across the land. Expand wherever and however you want. The planet is filled with valuable natural resources just waiting to be utilized. As an employee of FICSIT it’s your duty to make sure they come to good use.
Automate
Construct your factories with gracious perfection or build intricate webs of conveyor belts to supply all your needs. Automate trucks and trains to reach your faraway outposts and be sure to handle liquids properly by transporting them in pipes. It’s all about minimizing manual labour!
Explore & Exploit
Venture on expeditions to search for new materials and be sure to put everything to good use. Nature is yours to harvest! You have vehicles, jetpacks, jump pads and more at your disposal to make the exploration easier. Equip the proper safety gear as well, just in case you run into the local wildlife.

Just in case anyone was wondering, in that scene from invincible that the mentioned about an hour in, the person who shrunk didn't end up dying immediately, but they broke a whole ton of bones and are latest seen hospitalized. And the person they tried to expand into was severely damaged, but survived lomg enough to do some other stuff

Interestingly, the appearance of a fluid on the ceiling could be seen if there were two gasses that refused to mix. One might appear as if it were water just floating above the air. I actually wondered if that’s what it was supposed to be at first.

To get belts from 40 to 60, either: - Merge 3 lanes to get 120, then split it into 2 lanes with 60. You only need mark 2 belt for the tiny snippet between merger and splitter. - Or split each 40 into 2 lanes, then merge 3 lanes together. Requires no upgraded belts, but takes a lot of extra space for where you split them, so is clunky. But it does only take the number of belts down from 6 to 4, so.... Is it really worth it? Eh. (What I don't understand is why you don't put storage containers at the end of tracks so it can keep being active and stock up a ton though.)

After a couple play throughs, what I found easiest is: 1) get to automating about 10 motors and 5 heavy modular frames 2) make a big oil power plant (40k net power tends to get by until nuclear but it can always be supplemented with with geothermal vents or the somersloop power augmenters.) 3) make a new main in some place flatish (foundations and elevation can make anything flat) with access to a lot of water (an alternate to smelting most materials is washing. Water is also needed for oil processing. All around OP resource) 4) make every mini factory expandable either upward or outward with distinct inputs or outputs. Say you need 520 screws/min and you have a 5x5x2 (5 foundations wide, 8 meters tall) section producing 260, then you should be able to just place another 260 module to get what you need. You don’t need to be 100 percent efficient with every resource because time is a resource too. If you only need 300 screws, don’t be afraid to produce 520 and sink the overflow with a smart splitter 5) delete the old base once your new base is producing the same resources just as quickly. It’s now obsolete and taking up space, power and resources. 6) do nuclear 7) y’all are smart All this is to say, this initial base probably won’t matter. Each step takes an about equal amount of time, the first probably being the longest. It will become obsolete with mk 2 blueprints, and advanced processing so just have fun and don’t worry about future proofing this one

I only just started playing Satisfactory, and I really enjoy thinking about optimising and organising. But I feel like every comment I make about it should be taken with the disclaimer "this is just what I would do, use or disregard at your discretion." Literally the entire production aspect of the game is about choosing your own balance between optimising/organising/planning vs grunt work. I hope you guys choose what's most fun for you. But hey, comments = engagement, right?

I wonder if the parachute behavior (climbing up on upward slopes) is a glitch or intentional. Intentional is my guess. If it's a glitch I'm willing to bet the devs are OK with that. This game is quite generous with means of traversal.
