There are actually many leaders who proclaim God. Might want to change your news source if this is your belief. However, you are correct in lacking God. Scripture tells us "they were of God, but denied the power of God." The problem never lies or begins with the leaders. It starts with us, praying, AND standing up to the evils that be. The actual problem is that we stopped reading scripture, relied on preachers to tell us what it says, stepped out of society and politics in the name of tolerance, and allowed evil to take over as we slept, enjoying the fruits of those before us. The fallen angels and their descendants didn't just procreate with humans to create great, demi-god men. They also sinned against beasts, birds and creatures of the sea. Thus creating all of the manticore-like hybrid creatures or humans with animalistic features from all mythologies. They force mixed different species as well, creating unnatural creatures. So they carried on those traditions into the post flood world. The only way to get rid of sin entirely is for all of humanity to perish, so maybe it was a mercy, knowing we would fail again.
