When there is a chance to lose bought material...or any earned....all of a sudden I am on a gambling site. If I want to gamble I will drive the 5 hrs from Phx to Vegas. Quit a game for this exact reason. I will definitely not buy any material for this function and if they expand into other area it will just stop buying anything and eventually get fed up and quit.

Your just now realizing that those packs are gambling.....seriously? The majority of the packs give out randomized rewards of some kind with very few exceptions. Notice all the items that say chance? This is on top the tweeks based on your server level and your level.

Power creep kills all of this type of game eventually. There just becomes so much available for purchase that the FTP get left behind. I’m here until we reach that point for me, and then I’ll move on to the next similar game. Thanks for the video, Rev!

I bought the $50 upgrade pack to upgrade the FT armor. Failed all 5 times I tried to tier it up. My chance of success was supposed to be 80% , Scopely math strikes again.

IMO it's a trash mechanic that i have to go through ship management, to access or upgrade any of these items. It's forbidden Q tech, why isn't the upgrade mechanic a part of the building we construct to access these items? Just like the Armory or the Shipyard for ship abilities, weapon, or ship skins.

This month has been the cheapest for me in a while. I have also noticed less alliance gifts. Looks like a lot of people dont care to spend on this convoluted crap of content. This month is already a F for me.

Awesome video as ALWAYS. The game seems to have more bugs EVERY DAY. Voyager arc 3 seems underwhelming to me - and could have been so EPIC. It's a D at best. I wanted a 4th Voyager arc, but not if it's more like this. I can't wait to see Rev's grading. If you grade the bugs - well that's and F easy.

The biggest guy in my alliance has a t11 Ent-D with that 2000% hull buff and he says with all the other buffs it comes out to about an actual 10%. His ship is like 1.2bn power or some nonsense.

I hate the idea of the lost of hard to source stuff on an upgrade. But worse than that, I havent been able to do a single one of the upgrade forbidden tech SMS with the lvl 7 lock on the g2 trials. I cannot get enough even doing this daily. SMS should be everyone can do it with consistent play. This feature rollout has been absolute garbage. Not only does this give the feature an F it is dropping my rank for the whole month right now.

@@derpizzadieb first one i spent my upgrades on the common which didnt count for the event. So i got maybe 1 tier done. Since then i have only been pulling the 3 to 5 trials a day at 80 protomatter a pop. Single upgrade on the transphasic torpedoes is 750.

i know this is an old video but would love the ability to reset forbidden tech and you get the stuff you used on it i think you use ablative armor on combat ship great for lower players but you cant really work on it till later on and use the OSC for Levelling your ships and the T622 is great for mining till you get the rare mining FT tho my building is only lv19 i think the protomatter is the rarest item early on thats how i used them now i wish i could reset the common ones i rarely use other than the mining one and the OSC

FT seems like a flop. Fail change is demoralizing for wanting to try and upgrade anything. The RSS is too slow to get. And you have to decide on using it for the building or upgrading ft. So the fail just lends to only using it on buildings as that is guaranteed. They also seem pretty lack luster, I don't feel like they do anything much. But the bigger this, is it's another grind. Click (wait for lag), click (wait for more lag), Activate, fly to another system 1-2 min away, beat it, click (lag), click claim. Repeat...

Like the video, don't like the feature in general - especially how the unlocks are so selective, specific and limited and how you can only have one boost on one ship at one time AND how you have to use resources to not only equip but unequip over and over ad nauseum. In general, I run the trials for the dailies and refine what I feel like. Ya can't even upgrade the building with any regularity; everything about this is too hard to actually be fun and have any real value. All in all, I give this feature a 3 out of 10; and boosts don't help when you can't use the feature in question.👎👎👎

I dunno, these small boosts, they’re not gonna help when another player spends $$ and are 6 ops higher than you. A korinar with 2000% hull boost is not gonna kill a Sanctus . A lot of these things are becoming squabbling over shiny new things we ‘need to have’

Is there something new about the losing mats bullshit idea scopely had? Why does this developer hate his community so much? Losing mats you spend time and or money for is a kick in the nuts. Atleast increase the amount you get daily. If It's enough daily, so you can try again on a daily or 2 day basis, it's fine for me.

Well I got scopely D, did all first 3 trials complete, not 1shard for the rewards it said I expected to see in the tech tab, yes ticket was put in. So it's not working for me 😂.

I bought a £9.99 FT - forget which one - but have otherwise been chugging along on F2P. I like them. They refresh old ships and are relatively quick to get. No ship parts, materials or speed ups. They are a good addition.

I believe the correct statement should have been: whoops, the forbidden technology for PVE It’s so good that people are preferring it over the equivalent for PVP, so we can either Nerf the PvE or puah the PvP FT up to be at least as good or perhaps even better. So thats what is done. The fact that PvE was free and other was purchase only? Squirrel!

Whilst what you say about the lack of uncommon and commons makes sense, I sure as shit don't want a new officer with a useful ability to be any less than rare. Stat maxing is too important to waste slots on uncommons.

I’ve been having terrible luck on the RNG for upgrades which is very annoying especially given it impacts being able to complete the SMS and recruiting the new officers. One question I have is why doesnt Tal work against the Q trials? Was this intentional? Surely if Tal works against freebooter why would he not work against Q trials Freebooter.

it's all about hull health with Tal. Tal works on those, but he's just not effective. The hostiles where Tal works best against are Freebooters and Actian Apex, they have massive amounts of hull. The more hull exists, the more hull gets removed per round. 5% of 500k Hull are 25k 5% of 1.5b Hull are 75M So, while its very likely that your ship will do more damage against the 500k one with its weapons, its unlikely that its true for the one with 1.5b Hull (that is lvl 48 Actian). What does work is PMC for damage reduction, or overwhelm it with Gorkon Kerla Old Mudd (T4 at very least). You will get more bonus score when you take less Hull Damage and end the fight quickly
