Many people question if when the Alton Beast was moved to Thunder Valley it was the same coaster? It was, as staff from Alton Towers were able to recognise weld marks that they had made to the track.

One of my favourite facts about that coaster. I guess the refurbishment was so extensive people questioned if it was in fact the same ride!

@@CoasterConnections also the number of people who think it was the same coaster as the Blackhole, just outside. Whereas we know the Blackhole was a Jet Star 2 and the Alton Beast/New Beast was a Jet Star/Jumbo Jet. The Alton Beast also had the steepest drop on a rollercoaster in the UK when it debuted.
