It seams this method would be so lengthy to solve a problem with 4th degree indeterminacy. By the way, thanks for the video, it was difficult for me to understand it from our text book.

Yes it would definitely be a bad choice of methods. Check out engineer4free.com/structural-analysis for all the other indeterminate methods that I covered. Depending on the situation, 3 moment equation or slope deflection method might be better choices
