I bought this DVD on Amazon & very excited to watch this weekend. I used to love only traditional or, classical ballet. Natalia’s performances truly are a force of nature. When I watch her explode onto the stage, I see raw talent, years of very hard work, & her love of ballet. Natalia dances with great joy. She taught me to see modern, or contemporary dance with new eyes. How lucky we are to live during her time! #Prima

I saw this film on TV. As a child she was first supposed to be a gymnast. And it shows later in her strong body, certain movements, muscles, arms, not as subtle muscles like of the pure, ideal ballerina body, incredible arms, hands of Svetlana Zhakarova, for which Baryshnikov picked her up. And the best, tenderest Odette. But yes, Natalia, she is a great dancer, and probably best jumper and strong energy from her gymnast strength.

Natalia is pure art. Zakharova is sometimes a little bit robotic, although I really admire her impeccable technique

I think she’s left him far, far behind. He seems to have stopped trying years ago. What a waste of talent! His dancing skills have greatly declined.

You know it's too bad that she never took on the role of the Chosen One in Nijinski's le Sacre du printemps. Only a couple of prima ballerinas were able to perform that solo because it's grueling but I think she would be wonderful
