okay but we all know they're a power trio but can we just take a moment to see how broken they all are... azula... is just 14, rejected by her mother who thought she was a monster and basically raised by a psyco father that encouraged cruelty ty lee grew up with parents that confused her with her sisters and sorta ran away because she felt that her parnets and actually whole family thought she was worthless, just another copy like her sisters mai grew up in a rich and kinda abusive family that made her be silent and keep all her opinions and problems in or well she'd get in trubble and got her heart broken many times and the sadest thing is that so many people relate to them (including me)

I can't recall all the details clearly but Mai did not grow up in an abusive household. Rather it was the pressure her parents put on her to always act perfectly, cautiously and politely according to their noble class and political position that cracked her.

I think instead of abuse, the show writers might have wanted to depict the burden kids from rich or politically affluent families go through that causes them to rebel and create scandals. I don't know, sometimes I just think the word "abuse" is thrown in too lightly. Sometimes it's just bad parenting method (something most first-borns go through before their parents figure things out). Oh well....

im sorry but here is a rant ab mai So, she lowkey betrayed her bsf for a guy who just dumped her and left her when he was banished without even saying goodbye to her. She is literally my spirit animal and a goddess. Also, she wasnt mentioned in the legend of korra despite being a main antagonist in the whole show. The most we got to see of mai in TlOK was izumi and she was in it for around 2 seconds at korra's return. Azula and Tylee were not mentioned AT ALL, the closest we get to Ty-lee is Pema (Ty-lee's daughter) and we dont see any of Azula's children (chen and mitsuki). Also isnt it weird how Ty-lee is an airbender decendant and her daughter dates an airbender who is the avatar's son (Tenzin). There is some hope, however, due to the announcement of avatar studios. Due to popular command, nikelodeon have decided to make movies, series's and comics following the end off avatar: the last airbender. What angers me is that after mai got out of prison, she and zuko broke up AGAIN and nothing more happened. I hope that mai gets back with zuko or finds someone new who can treat her right, so long as she is mentioned in avatar studios. Also, AZULA NEEDS A REDEMPTION!!!! Im so tired of saying this but she was fourteen omg, im so glad they scratched out azula's arrainged marriage aswell. Thx for listening
