I learned of the Kookaburra after visiting Alice Springs a few years ago. What a fascinating story. Thanks for the video. Gooday from the USA

Thankyou for this valuable educationally vital video record of this sad event. Having lived in The Alice and visited the Kookaburra diorama, which for me was such a touching poignant experience, I have always remained interested in learning more. The TV series "All for Adventure" featuring Jase and Simon had I think a few episodes covering the Southern Cross forced landing "Coffee and,," site, then the multiple staked tyres expedition to refind the Kookaburra site, culminating with that wonderful segment at Dick's home where he so passionately shared of his determined several attempts to find the (Kookaburra) site. The plaque he had placed there incredibly was found by Jase and Simon; accompanmied by a descendant of one of the Aboriginal search party who had originally discovered the site and sad demise of the two flyers. This is the kind of stuff that makes us "Australian".

Bush Tucker refers to a movie about the Kookaburra incident. Anyone know of a title or a link ?

I had a look for the site in 2017 but didn't find it. I visited the sinkhole also.
