Forced Penance in glorious action | Dead by Daylight

An interesting match against Survivors with very strong items that were partially countered by our perks. It's a good example of how despite having a relatively strong start (2 hooks at 5 gens) Survivors can always bounce back and recover. I lost my mind a little bit during this match, so apologies for that.

Also the perk in his clickbait tittle didn't really do much for him at all, he complained about it not doing much more then anything, gross af, but it takes bad streamers crying to find good streamers that don't cry when they don't do well and own up to it. Watch this video again, then watch Naymeti gameplay vids, the difference in player maturity, recognizing what's good, the straight up not whining when things don't go perfect will change your thoughts on this guy.

I genuinely find Pyramid head's perks to be EXTREMELY underrated. Trail of Torment and Forced Penance I feel are such oppressive or crazy perks that probably many of survivors don't know how to handle. I also love jumpscaring with Trail and having no terror radius for a hundred years :D

Trail of torment is far from oppressive given the survivor can literally see the gen you kicked in yellow. Survivor goes over and touches if and it gets negated.

The problem is that they’re niche. Killers have 4 perks. Lots of killer mains have at least one comfort perk that they bring in almost every time. At least some form of slowdown is absolutely necessary, unless you’re just that confident at getting super fast downs. Not to mention some killers that are perk reliant. The problem is this. You can use these perks, you can get some good value out of these perks. But it’s never going to be optimal. So unless you’re just doing it for purely fun. There’s not much reason to run them over other perks.

Trail of torment unfortunately have a yellow indicator for survivors which have no sense and plus a 60 seconds cooldown. It would be actually decent if it deactivates only if you hit a survivor, the yellow indicator is not visible and a cooldown of 30 seconds, but I agree PH perks are undearrated

I don’t know how you can say that taking a hit while you’re carrying someone isn’t technically a protection hit. If you’re carrying someone, you are going to aim to hook them. Someone coming in to take a hit to stop that, could potentially stop you getting that hook. This gives that survivor another health state/ stops them from dying as fast. That’s exactly the definition of a protection hit!

Hi Otz, could you try this jumpscare sniper executioner build? It's designed to be very fun yet powerful. Double range addons (10.5m attack) *ANursesCalling* (28m) *TrailOfTorment* (close in on healing survivors, hit two at once with the suprise ranged attack. Will provide spicy content against TTVs) *Oppression* (perfect synergy with ToT) *Dissolution* (i dont bother breaking any pallets as PH. This works well for clean-up and forcing survivors into unsafe positions. Doesn't interfer with ToT when you consider their usecases) While you could swap *Dissolution* for *Sloppy,* you would have to adjust your playstyle to go for more basic attacks, which is restrictive. You may swap *Dissolution* with *ImAllEars* or *NowhereToHide* if you wish.

New Survivor Add-Ons for medkit: The Revolver- When a killer hits the survivor with the medkit in hand, the Revolver becomes active. The next time the survivor gets hit while injured, the killer gets shot by the Revolver, stunning the killer for 5 seconds, and the add-on is used for the trial. The Wrapped fist: When a survivor uses up their med-kit, they gain the endurance status effect until the next hit which would put the survivor into the dying state. When in this effect, the survivor cannot use engaged on generators or healing for the lust for chase must be met. Interacting with any other action minus healing self and chase losing the endurance status effect.

@@Relixification I still use deadhard often, against most killers, even experienced ones! You can force a deadhard hit at pallets and windows. Now I've got a huge speedboost (Which is arguably better than old deadhard). And I get to loop the killer another 30 seconds or more as a result. Lithe and sprint burst will buy me maybe half that time. I'm sorry but that's painfully boring. Even with 0.5s it's not that hard to learn the timing when you know the killer has to swing and take the hit. Seeing as people are starting to figure out how to force deadhard hits, we're quickly getting back to an era where everyone's running it on the survivor side.

You'd see most survivors finish the match with a leftover token, and they'd pretty much have it available in every chase unless they go and take a protection deadhard hit or something. I'm torn between two options. - Starting everyone with no tokens, but getting two tokens after being unhooked. Having more than three tokens gives deadhard a slightly stronger effect to punish tunneling. - Starting everyone with one token, and completing 60-75% of a generator grants another, capped at three tokens. (Having three tokens would give DH a stronger effect, to punish three genning forever as well as call of brine/eruption/pain resonance). But having only one token means deadhard has a weaker effect, with only half the haste it normally has. The first seems too killer sided, mostly aimed at keeping the first chase reasonable. The second doesn't stop gen rushing, but it makes it much harder to use deadhard in the endgame. I'd rather it becomes something that rewards survivors for doing well and focusing on objectives, or to punish killers for being naughty. But less OP for the first chases, making it so other perks like lithe are more attractive for someone that wants to drag out the first chase on purpose. (This also makes comboing lithe + deadhard less stupid, as you could use lithe whilst waiting for deadhard to hit token tresholds.)
