What would you consider to be a forgotten exotic? This is a handful of my picks and others from yesterday’s community post. Considered adding Cerberus, Hard Light, Skyburner’s, Ex Diris, Salvation’s Grip, Nova Mortis, Abbadon, Invective, Zen Meteor, D2 Bad Juju and The Prospector

Any of the Exotic Swords from D1 doing on the Dreadnaught quest like Razelighter, Dark Drinker or Bolt Caster with extra effects that set them apart from Legendary versions. i.e. Razelighter does extra damage with the uppercut swing by 10% more than Legendary swords that do that and causes Ignitions, Boltcater causes Jolt and Dark Drinker causes Volatile.

Collective is a strange exotic in that its complete garbage in a vacuum but quickly becomes broken as fuck on void subclasses, namely titan. Controlled demolition and echo of undermining gives weaken and volatile basically forever.

I will say, Collective has been pretty cool to use when partied up with a void titan. Feeding your void titan Volatile keeps you alive, letting you steamroll things while never dying. Just gotta coordinate buff timers, which was easier than expected in a GM Glassway.

This was my thought. Void Titan with Controlled Demolitionist and Echo of Undermining on a Suppressor Grenade gets all three Void Debuffs in one Grenade. Run Offensive Bulwark for a better Grenade Cooldown and Shield Throw for Ranged Void Overshields as well as Void Hegemony (which needs to be baked into Controlled Demolitionist when Episode 2 starts and we lose it from the Artifact) this season for Overshields on defeating Weakened Targets as well as Expanding Abyss and you're golden.

People who has never used Verglas Curve on Stasis Warlock have no experienced the true power of freezing an entire room. The 5 freezes from Verglas can all proc Iceflare, and boy 1 volley of 5 in an add clear situation is literally phenomenal

Collective obligation by virtue of being a raid exotic is held back. Imagine a catalyst for it, would be amazing. A catalyst that would auto-fill the 3rd void debuff in void leech if you filled the other 2 slots (if that's too powerful give it a caveat like it needs to wait a few seconds or has to get an orb of power or a few kills to get the 3rd debuff as a freebie) would be AMAZING for Collective, especially on prismatic where classes might struggle to get all 3 debuffs (Hunter's only source of solo suppression is their super ability to my knowledge if your exotic slot is filled). Of course some could argue prismatic shouldn't take all the void debuffs possible but that's up to bungie I guess... Of course a generic catalyst like repulsor brake could work fine but I think raid exotics deserve better.

My idea for a catalyst for collective obligation was to let you shoot “debuffs” at allies which are then converted into the void buffs(weakness becomes devour, suppressed becomes overshield, volatile becomes invisible)

Fun fact you didn't call out to - Verglas Curve is actually currently BUGGED. You're supposed to get stasis arrows from the kills you get by shatter damage using shots from this bow, and yet it doesn't do that anymore. It used to do so up to before Final Shape came out.

Borialis just needs to be an intrinsic anti-barrier. The damage rounds shouldn't be limited to 5 rounds when poping sheilds that match. And you wouldn't even be granted the damage rounds when stuning an anti-barrier I personaly think it should.

@@StealthTheFoxz This was my idea (gonna be a little long winded so apologies in advance): each weapon can activate a different perk upon swapping to the respective subclass: Dead messenger gets incandescent, voltshot, and destabilizing rounds to lean into ad clear. Hard light gets heal clip, repulsor brace, and whatever that one arc perk is that no one likes, leaning more into survivability. Borealis I think is headed in the right direction with shield break. Give it anti barrier and additionally, when breaking a matching shield, create a blinding, scorching, or suppressing explosion based off the current damage type. Anti barriers make an even bigger explosion. I think this would do a good job of making these exotics more distinguishable from each other as well as giving them a proper place in the sandbox where they become very viable and usable options.

Borealis could be really useful now with the sniper artifact mods when you’re doing things with champions or other higher difficulty items. Having a sniper with barrier mods that can change element types is actually a big deal.

Ruinous Effigy has 2 issues that are really inconsistent. - The orb counts as weapon damage but doesn't benefit from surge mods - The suppression slam doesn't count as a suppression kill unless they survive the slam, so it doesn't activate the important aspects/fragments of void and prismatic builds. If they fix these 2 and give trace rifle more reliable ammo economy, then it'll actually be good.

Symmetry had pretty much carried across more Gambit matches than I can remember, and this is coming from a person who mains pulse Rifles on PvP matches. It may not do that much against mobs, but against invaders or even invading, the alt fire mode had been effective in picking out players in the heat of the fight. Then again, the fact I only used it on Gambit may say something about it in general.

Borealis has a fun interaction with the Sympathetic Arsenal perk, wherein if you have Ionic Return procced on Borealis, when Sympathetic Arsenal is procced, it will reload Borealis and not remove Ionic Return, allowing for Ionic Return's bonus damage to be up for a lot longer. This is most effective with a bow with Sympathetic Arsenal, as the reload on a bow is almost instant.

Sturm was an absolute menace. The exotic perk used to proc off any other energy weapon, albeit a bit weaker damage buff than getting a kill with the drang first. With the drang it used to or maybe still is capable of 2 shotting to the head with the extra damage bullets. When it synergized with other energy weapons you could still 2 tap low resilience, and medium resilience up to a point (like anywhere from 10-50 I think). There may have also been a way to one shot using empowering rifts or well of radiance.

Something people forget about universal remote and the iron sights sniper is that while they did use prinary ammo, when equipped you also recieved less primary ammo, so in effect you were using special ammo. If brought into D2, they would just be special weapons in the kinetic slot.

How about you make another video sorta like this, but instead of forgotten in general, guns that were never good at any time. Some of these weapons used to be really strong at one point. A video of sad exotics. 10:10 Void Titan with Peregrine Greaves. Barricade for over shield, strong attack invisible. Enemy much less likely to kill you while you do this, less likely to avoid your charge (Overload's not teleporting), one shot champion, repeat. Had a titan do this in the GM and he wrecked everything safely.

Deterministic chaos is underrated, especially with the seasonal mods revolving around weaken and the intrinsic antibarrier. I use it a lot for GMs.

Ahhhh Deterministic is completely useless imo, mostly because the ammo economy isn't as solid as Commemoration and Retrofit. If it's weaken was 30% so it would be a banger support weapon (since they finally flipped the weaken and volatile). I will give it that I forgot they gave it anti-barrier but still not enough for it to be in my exotic slot.

imo, the sprinting part of centrifuse kinda served as a better eddy current. But now that eddy current is buffed it’s unironically better than centrifuse’s reload. If they gave centrifuse a similar treatment where being amplified grants an auto-reload effect similar to actium war rigs, it could be a good weapon.

Delicate Tomb is, apparently, really good with Fallen Sunstar on Stormcaller and, essentially, lets you use your super like it's a regular ability with how fast it charges. I'm a Titan Main, though, and am just going by what I've heard from various Warlocks.

3 comments: Manticore is actually an insanely good primary exotic, it's just locked to void builds and really only titan to take advantage of the overshield using Offensive Bulwark. Borealis is a fine sniper only. What killed it and Hardlight is that we no longer have match game so havaing access to every energy type is no longer mandatory. Worldline Zero isn't as good as the Lament, but it does have a use because chaining the two heavy hits does more burst damage and is instant. Plus better mobility.

I feel like deterministic just needs an ammo buff, ever since they gave it anti barrier, cuz it can chunk champions decently, which is really all it would get used for. Barrier shows up, lay on the trigger, and it should be almost dead, except it doesn't have the mag or ammo to keep up with being used for it.

Universal remote is very good for low man aksis damage especially 2man 1phase aksis because you shouldnt reload shotguns while spamming thermite grenades for more damage and because you can shoot between grenades one Shotgun shot and after special Shotgun is empty you can switch to Universal in the last teleport because rockets are most likely empty in the Last Teleport

recently saw a video how void titan with some aspects and det. chaos can stand at all witness attacks (except the one wrehe you jump) because he gains overshield + with aspect (i dont remember name) it can heal (pretty good) titan and whole fireteam who is around him so i consider titans to become support while hunters have still hunt and warlocs have harmony builds (Warlocks, remember those times when we were forced to well? well now we can force titans to void chaos ) ((still need to find a way to force hunters for smth))

I understand the Centrifuse slander but I've never forgotten about it because when I need to get kills against arc blinded enemies and don't feel like switching subclasses, I use exactly that gun. Also, I fully disagree on Winterbite, I like that it's heavy. I want more special-type weapons in the heavy slot. The damage Winterbite does is still good and it builds darkness energy fast. Deterministic Chaos is good with Controlled Demolition exactly but I can't see myself using it outside of that one niche build lmao

Gotta love how bungie likes to try and make heavy ad clear weapons but don’t realize that the cost of heavy ammo plus ur exotic slot usually isn’t worth it in these cases (ex. Deterministic/queenbreaker)
