There is actually a crowdfunding action run by a Czech businessman called "a gift for Putin" that crowdfunded a modernized T72 tank for Ukraine within a month. They are now crowdfunding for Artillery ammo in case somebody is looking for something to donate too.

The US spent 2.3 trillion... Yes TRILLION in Afghanistan and Iraq. This is frankly a super cheap way for the US to keep Russia tied up, and also learn about how to conduct near peer warfare. It will massively accelerate the reduction in dependence that Europe has on Russian energy which will defang Russia in the long run.

@@John-mf6ky Objectively the Ukrainians don't use any of the kit we give them the way it was supposed to do. With the 50 different types of different APCs they get it wouldn't even be possible to coherently use them the way they are supposed to cause 1st there is just to many of them and all were supposed to be used a certain way which obviously not always corresponds to the situationen in the battlefield and 2st the MRAPS they get weren't even designed for such a conflict in the first place. They use HUMVEES and MRAPS in basically IFV roles and M113 for fire support and whatever. Essentially they just need a protected battlefield taxi that gets them there and has some punch if something big shoes up. Otherwise it's finding out how to use the stuff by using the traditional learning by doing-method.

The problem with that is that the debt service on the US debt is about 105% of the total which means we really have no money to spend on US-backed Nato war games. The reality is we're on the verge of bankruptcy. A large part of the world is backing away from the petro-dollar which means the dollar will be worth less and less as time goes by. Just what are you people smoking? Do you actually live in the real world? Do they actually think the American people are going to stand by and watch these morons drag us into another 20-year war while our lives are destroyed so they can launder all this aid money flowing into Ukraine? Ukraine has been the Globalist piggy bank for decades. That's why they are desperate to hang on to this "golden goose".

When the government gives a quote, double it. Count on $80 billion for military aid and God knows how much for civil aid. A good chunk of this money is just going to go from taxpayers to lobbyists to politicians and their friends. Maybe most of it.

Good assessment. Let's hope though, that Russian mafia-state authoritarianism collapses, Russia gets back to 1999 and resumes evolving towards democracy. Russia has huge potential if it takes the right direction, of the European civilization where it belongs in general terms (even acknowledging its big ethnic diversity). Otherwise, Russia is doomed.

This is completely outrageous that amount of money with the way things in UK. UK has a debt of 80% of UK GDP. Fuel bills going up mortgages going up prices overall high rocketing where wages are matching prices. That price is half defence budget in uk. These weapons should have been sold instead of now giving away. When comes to UK people gov doesn’t want to give the money away. That won’t be the final bill their still going to be costs on top of that there always is where told cost will be x in Afghanistan and Iraq and was way over y.

We need a negotiated peace. too many people have financial interests in prolonging this pointless conflict. risking WW3 on basis of "saving" Ukraine is insane. seems that after Iraq and Afghanistan this is the preferred "forever" war. the armchair warmongers hope to drag this out for 10 years.
