FORD 19 F550 |Up-Fit| ISSUES MIL on DTC U02A3

Ford trucks having issues after up-fitting may have this DTC U02A3. Hey welcome back PS-FAM!! Here we have another wiring repair, this time caused by a human who forgot to check the other side. I wish I could afford IDS. It isn’t worth the cost for as few times as I need it but it sure is nice. I use FORSCAN for minor tweaks and mods. If it comes down to troubleshooting then your channel and the ol’ Googles usually helps steer me in the right direction.

Haven't used IDS yet. I've used Forscan quite a bit and seems to work pretty good.

Some days I wish I had access to an IDS system for Ford repairs...it looks so useful! That said I'm invested into a Snap-On Solus Legend diag scanner and it seems to be working fine.

As I work on other things that use high speed coms on differential pair cables, I think it would have been nice to twist those CAN wires, though you're close enough to the end it will still work fine.

Use a seam ripper to cut the tape. Its faster and safer.

All we drive is Fords in our family. After watching your videos I think I know all the functions of IDS. I like working on my own stuff. I got on the motorcraftservice site and see I can download the software for free and buy a license to use it at home. Didn’t know that. Thought it was a dealer only software. Which vcm do you use. I was trying to find a vcm2 if that’s what I need or vcm3. Are these things all about the price?

On the Ford IDS under DTC perminent there's a U code DTC and the tool says do not diagnose.. My question is why is the IDS telling you not to diagnose a permanent trouble code. Thanks for awesome videos..later bro

Those are dtcs that stay permanent in memory until you complete the next drive cycle, or until that next test that checks that system has passed...hence it says do not diagnose, cuz ya aint gonna get rid of them by "clearing codes". They do NOT illuminate the check engine light

I had that style cutter/ crimper. From time to time I would cut a wire that WAS ok while crimping a barrel splice. Great video. How's the beast??

хорошая работа...такая же ошибка на форд транзит восемнадцатого года из за этой ошибки машина может войти в аварийный режим не не крутить стартер. Транзит не заводится стартер не крутит с ключа зажигания но перемыкая реле стартера стартер вращается а с ключа нет как буд то сработала какая то защита. Спасибо

1st part-no. Hardly EVER do 6.7 inj's. Only because of you know what 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ 2nd part-yes they're called IQA (injector-quanity-adjusment)

I use IDS at work all the time! I work for the city where I live and we have everything from F150's to 750's! AWESOME diagnostic software! Ford trucks really are the best, that's all we buy and I own a 14' F150 as well! Best vehicle I have ever owned!

On-demand dtcs are ones that are currently faulted, happening right NOW. Continuous dtcs are ones that have set during a current or last drive cycle..
