Man that thing looks good inside. I wish I could get that lucky with used engines lol. Send that cam and lifters to Oregon cam grinding, they'll come back better than new, and they can take that stock cam and make a nice RV grind out of it.

@@ThomasKinkead well there will be two 460 builds. This one will be for towing and going into my 1979 F-350. The other one will be a little more high performance and will be going into my 1978 F-150 4x4.

So I’m trying to convert my 88 F350 efi to carburetor. With that being said am I able to keep the efi heads? I would be tossing a edelbrock intake on it.

@@thomaslord9776 you can’t toss a carbureted intake on an EFI 460. The intake ports on the heads are way different. You either have to swap EFI heads and intake to carbureted intake and heads or get an adapter plate that lets you install a carburetor on the EFI intake manifold. With that being said the EFI heads used from 1987-1992 are not as good as the 1993-1997 EFI heads. The 1993-1997 EFI heads got a bigger intake valve and the ports are a little different.
