Have you considered getting aftermarket square fender flares? ADV Fiberglass and Anderson Composites both make full fender panel replacements and KBD makes square wheel arches that are pretty cheap as well.

I really like the look of the square full panel options but I am not willing to spend the $$$ on them. They do look really cool tho. The replacement flare option, they look interesting...I think I would need to see it in person to really check it out and see how it looks. Thanks for the comment!

I think im going to do similar once i get mine. I LOVE the heritage look, on the outside, but not the interior. Im going squatch black diamond, and can easily mod it aftermarket to look more retro. Love the video, very helpful!

The heritage is based on the Big Bend Sasquatch ($43,170), so the extra $10k does get different features like lockers. For me, I would go with your build. Looks great!

Yes you are right, you do get some nice things on the Heritage that you do not get on a Base. My real point is this: if you really want the retro/heritage look, you don't have to buy the Heritage Edition to get it. You can build one yourself and make it exactly the way you want it, only the things you want, and none of the stuff you don't. Thanks for watching!!

7:50 I actually like the plad seats. Love your mods btw. I think you could do with a white stripe across the character line like the Heriatage Edition. That would seal the deal. Now that this is out you can just order the Heritage wheels from the ford parts department. Id do that.

I really like what you did. I have a Red Heritage Edition on order. My only comment is that I've priced out 'comparable' 2023 Broncos with and without the Heritage Edition and I think the Heritage is a good value with the options it comes with compared to buying a Big Bend (which the HE is based off of) with the same options.

Definitely can get the "look" but sasquach is standard on heritage, think it would be cheaper just to get the sasquach then trying to make simular mods (lockers, suspension, lift, sway disconnect)

Love your mods! The one thing I didn't like about the heritage edition is that they used the FORD badge there instead of the Bronco badge. But why didn't you use black paint behind the Bronco grill badge like on the heritage edition? Note that the black extends all the way over to the horizontal lamps.

Thanks for this video! I’ve been following you since Day One because I know just like you did, I wanted that retro look! I’ve been waiting for a white roof, white grille variant since PreOrders began in 2020! I will say I wish it was Wimbledon White instead of Oxford white- not as much contrast and I’m am anxious to see what other “vintage inspired” colors get announced. But much like you, it’s wayyyy too much. I would much rather buy a base model (I prefer the smaller wheels myself) and buy the heritage grille after market. Although I agree, I wish I could get those squared off fenders cheaper than the Everglades edition

Great comparison, I like the heritage Broncos but after spending 50K for mine I pretty much fixed it up exactly how I want it. I did spend less than $1000 to have the hardtop painted though👍🏽👍🏽

@@BudgetBronco I’m really happy with it. Needs a wet sand still but looks completely awesome. I know the hardtops can come out oily from the factory so there was extra cleaning/degreasing involved. We keep the texture so no sanding 👍🏾👍🏾

Not a Apples to Apples comparison. The HE is Sas so it has front and rear lockers, HOSS suspension, lift and stronger front diff. So the cost of a Base Sas is more like $41k.

Definitely, I am a big fan of the Base. Unfortunately, it is not as inexpensive as it was just a couple of years ago. My 2021 had a total MSRP of $31,175 and the exact same 2023 model has MSRP of $34,075. That is a 9.3% increase!

The difference between the Heritage and the Heritage Limited are the models they are based on. The Heritage is based on a Big Bend and the Limited is built on a Badlands trim. That said, I think you're right in that from all I've seen, these are basically appearance packages. Some of the stuff, like the seating in different materials/colors or special edition color paints would be fairly expensive changes to make, but you've done the wheels, top, grill, and badge. Of course, everything I've heard is tentative, but the rumors on pricing makes what you've done seem much more reasonable option. I agree that the squared off fenders are nicer, though. I also agree that the plaid cloth is hideous and the vinyl on the Limited is not so bad.

But do you have the Bukkake dash?!? LOL!!! Now there is one major difference than is kind of important and that's the front/rear lockers and the Sasquatch package suspension, which accounts for a large portion of the cost, I would think (as the Bronco Heritage Edition appears to have the Sasquatch package). I am sure that you will be able to buy the fenders soon enough! BTW, I think that your attempt at a Heritage Edition is much more tasteful than Ford's attempt!

Ahhhh interesting , I had never thought much about that but yes I totally agree, side-by-side cup holders is better, especially when you and the passenger are both using one. Our Dodge Durango has a front-to-back setup and when both are being used, it is inconvenient to have to reach over the rearward one to get to the forward one. I just used the build-and-price configurator and confirmed it: yes, the manual transmission has side-by-side cupholders (with the GOAT mode dial further forward) and the automatic transmission has front-to-back cupholders. FifteenFifty2 makes a nice, white aluminum rim. I am thinking about that, color matching the top to the rims, for the grill, i want to do a satin silver in the inner portion and color match the outer lip. That would match my dads ‘77 bronco ranger edition. Use chrome script, door handle covers, and mirror covers. I may do ford in red on the grill but use oracle backlit letters. Also oracle might be coming out with a nice looking kinda retro headlight, look at the fog lamps to see them. They have flush mount tail lights also.

@@BudgetBronco Unfortunately I can only plan and dream rite now, my wife got her Bronco First and since I new about inflation we have to wait to get mine, not too unhappy about it, I have learned allot about the Bronco what I like and Dislike, needs, wants and have to have. She has a 4dr B/B 2.7L Soft Top, with mid pkg. I have learned that all that is not needed. Base is the way to go, v6 is not needed, I will get the modular bumper, switches and automatic. I would like the Chili pepper red, but since they are not taking new orders till 4qtr of 2023 I will wait.

I drove the big bronco the bronco sport and ended up leaving with a fully loaded 2020 edge ST with 9k miles for only a couple grand more then they wanted for the Big Bend Sport lol. The sport is small, cramped, and plastic everywhere. It looks and feels cheap. It’s basically a glorified and overpriced Escape. They told me that just the standard Heritage was going to get about an$50k markup. No thanks

I think most people feel that way only bc the original Gen 1 Bronco's had square. I don't mind the round look at all. I think the reason Ford probably went round is because they didn't want to look too much like the Wrangler, but that is just a guess.

I remember seeing the announcement about the Heritage edition and thinking to myself Ford copied your complete set up. It's gotta be one heck of an ego boost knowing you did it first.

Thanks for the comment! I honestly don't think Ford actually copied me, this was probably in development for a while, and the reality is that I took inspiration from the first generation 1966-77 models that Ford created. So it's all good, as they say 'imitation is the sincerest form of flattery'.

Im going go out on a limb here. Why not just but the original factory heritage grill?. I myself wouldn't take a $1.99 can of paint to a $35k car. It did come out well but it does look like a cheap knock off. I did the dame thing many moons ago with one of my wranglers to capture the " hummer look" . I was mocked and called a " humvee wanna be" .nice vud but i think id pay the extra money. On a 5 yeard loan and extra 10k is about $25 a month

Fair comment, but for me that wasn't even an option. I took delivery of my Bronco in August 2021. So by the time the Heritage Edition is available, I will have already been driving my DIY version for two years. Thanks for watching!

Ford wasted alot of cash on these. They should have delayed production and resdesigned for an EV Platform. Now Ford is stuck with an engine recall and an upcoming expnses of EV redesign if it hald to it's commitment to phase out ICE vehicles. I'd love to like and get behind Ford, but their execution is always lacking.

I don't think anybody can disagree with that right now: their execution is lacking, certainly from the perspective of keeping the assembly line moving, and avoiding recalls. They are going to turn it around tho, I think. EV Bronco is coming, for sure, the only question is when.

@@BudgetBronco I would be on board with an EV Bronco. Ford is the only Legacy Automaker I have faith in getting their EV manufacting on track based on seeing CEO Farley and his EV Engineering Team visiting with legendary Auto Engineer Sandy Munro of Munro & Associates (link here --->>: kzbin.info/www/bejne/i2PVh5WnfpKaq9U ). I've owned several Ford products starting over 40 years ago with a '78 Mercury Bobcat V6 and the last a 2006 F250 Lariat Diesel Crew Cab Longbed. So I am not off-put by Ford. But Ford has to keep in mind other EV makers come from other Legacy models known as well such as EV Blazers & Jimmy's from GM, RamCharger from Dodge, and so forth. SO Ford has to be nimble and move it along. If Ford announced a Bronco EV today, I would put in my reservation.
