We had our Wildtrak exactly three weeks before some goofball hit us from behind at a red light. I'm finally getting it out of the shop next week with a new rear tail gate (spare tire took the impact and warped the tail gate). I would love to get one of these !!!

I have the same exact light. You can absolutely delete the third break light over the tire and it will work. You have to check your states laws however, because most states require you to have a third light that is specifically above the ones to the left and right. Other than that, you’re square.

Thanks for the info Jake! Did you just tape up the unused plug for the factory brake light and stuff it in the spare tire mount compartment? Any clarity here would be much appreciated.

Some people are reporting fitting problems, and I'm older myself and not that handy with cars, but it sounds like everyone's not encountering those issues. Btw, love the intro --one of the very best I have ever seen! And the whole wife motif with the thumbs up or down. The music and lyrics are great and relaxing. You have one of the only two themes on KZbin that I watch every time. lol

FYI, I did have fit issues. The center hole was too small and I did have to trim it a bit. I mentioned it in the video, but didn't show it. Glad you like the videos!

Not sure. It seemed pretty quick. Maybe 30 minutes? It definitely took me longer because I had to film it.

Just out of curiosity, what did you use to make the hole bigger? Assuming a Dremel? What bit for it? Did you ever determine if it still works with deleting the factory light?

I just shaved the edge using a utility knife. It was pretty quick. I haven't checked, but I think someone on here did confirm that it will still work with the third brake light removed.

Great vid , but u should not have had to ream the holes out . Im a big fan of saftey , but here in the NY, NJ area we have alot of idiots. They will panic if they see that light up and not realize its a brake light. Not sure if im gonna go that way but it looks sharp and is worth the money
