This video really helps no one. Some ford focus 2008 on when the instrument cluster gives up it disables the OBD port. Then you cant make a back up. FORscan doesnt do all models either. Some clocks have to be put into Virgin state. Mileage can be done via OBDstar using obd socket

Thanks for the video! I was looking to do this to my Focus and wondered if the mileage from the old cluster automatically carried over to the new one, some sites say it does, others say it doesn't.

No is not go over automatically. You need find new cluster with identically miles.

You can update the mileage on the new cluster with Forscan. As long as the new cluster has lower mileage than your previous one.

Are you sure ?, its a 2007 Cmax, and all the information i have found so far says that the immobiliser data is in the instrument cluster chip, as i understand the cluster needs to be paired with the rest of PATS system ?

Hey Sam, May I know how do you know that the part fit's correctly? I was told my seller that the Part number needed to be exactly the same. Example: f1et-10849-BNH and f1et-10849-BKH The last 3 needed to be exactly the same, is that correct? Looking forward for your reply mate.

Hi! I was read in russian forum, there is diference in facelift and pre facelift model For example if you put on pre facelift model facelift dash then your parking sensors working without sound. More important is mach miles, because its possible only change 1000 miles more or less. Don't know nothing about las 3 numbers. So far I do e 5000 miles and all working perfect. My next step will be activate reverse camera...😁

Thanks for the reply! Mine is a face lifted model. Both speedometer is from face lifted version. The one you got, the last 3 serial and hw number all this doesn't match? By chance could you share the photo of it? Would be interesting to see!
