Had one of these from 2012 to 2020, did over 100,000 miles. Cracking car, great drive, nothing went wrong. They're underrated vehicles.

Well the Ford Focus platform what they are based on in my opinion is one of best ever made, the DV6 had its issues but it looked after seen them clock up considerable miles problem free. Would have been nice to see ford do C-Max ST and out the Volvo T5 engine in like the focus would have been a cracking hot MPV

How is the Powershift gearbox? Is it an issue? I recently found out about the Powershift problems. I found a car with 28k miles but I'm vary of buying it with the known Powershift issues.

They are just a terrible design across the board, later ones are slightly improved. If you want a nice auto get a Toyota/Lexus Hybrid absolutely fantastic driving experience and Uber reliable ! Plus all the diesel engines are PSA and 100% avoid the 1.0 eco boost.

There is a grand c max with 7 seats but they are rare as.

Just had to Google it, genuinely never seen one tbh it looks like the B Max with the sliding doors, wonder why they never took off. We have 2 cars like that the grand scenic and the Altea XL, can’t really see the point of the standard ones as they are no bigger than a standard hatchback, at least the bigger versions are like estate car size load area but higher roof line.

Just be carful on the automatics, the Ford PowerShift has a terrible reputation (google it) make sure you have full warranty that covers it 👍🏼

@CarAddictGarageNE I didn't know that, luckly car comes with 3 months warranty but can extend it so will be extending the warranty to the longest I can, thankyou for that information.

@shaunschannel1106 just check up because they have a dry clutch system that usually fails and very expensive to replace (bit like brake discs/pads/ tyres) they are classed as wearing items and not covered under most warranty
