Paul.. I'm watching this video and feel like I have died and gone to heaven. The mk2 Mexico 🇲🇽 in signal green what a car!!! I bought one of these in 1982 at the age of 19 I had it for 10days before it was written off by a lorry cutting me up luckily I got out ok, I had it on hirer purchase and hadn't even paid the first payment and to add insult to injury only had third party insurance it took a year to get my money back off the lorry insurance but I still had to pay the payments every month without having the pleasure of the car 🚗 but now I have the pleasure of a mk3 Focus RS another fine car. Keep up the good videos buddy 👍

Nice to see the Signal Green Mk2 Escort restoration has been done like I have done with my Mk3 Cortina, pre painted on the inside of the box sections, (mine has 36 layers) of anti rust top and lacquer and mint condition bodywork, built on my channel, these are lovely looking cars, great history files, like mine!, nice to see them

Great one Paul. Used to lust over the mk2 Mexico’s and RS2000’s in my youth in the mid 80’s. The one I’d love to get now that I owned when I was 21 was a red mk2 XR2. It was a C reg that I had when it was 3 years old. Me and my mates were always down Roadsport at Eastgates, Colchester that were a used XR and RS speacialists. It’s a lighting shop now!

1973 was a very special year😉....wonderful collection👍....great vid mate, I do hope all will appreciate the history in this one small collection, if your into your cars you will. Escort Cosworth, never drove only a passenger ride - completely different (other than dash) to the standard Escort of the same shape/mark....in fact this shape was the end of the escort.....although a booted version of the current focus is sold in Japan as an escort👍...dont the mk2 shout CI5! and the colour of the mk1 absolutely stunning. Brilliant mate, absolutely brilliant👌

Nice video Paul featuring some tasteful classic Fords. Will be interesting to see how much these go up in value over the next 10 years. Around 6 years ago I looked at the prices of MK1 Focus RS's and a slightly higher millage one but in good condition was going for £6.5k.

I know we all have our preferences, but that MK1 Focus RS is stunning. The proportions of those cars are spot on. Old cars have tiny donut wheels, pea shooter exhausts and are very basic. New cars have 20 or 21 inch wheels and are very heavy with electronic steering. Cars from the late 90's early 00's are not too big or too small, normal sized wheels and are basic where you'd want them to be, but also more advanced where you'd want them to do. One thing I really don't like about current hatch backs are that they are all 5 doors.

I got mk1 RS 2000 in 1974 same as blue on blue best car I have had did not like mk 2 very much went over to capris after the mk1 rs /mk1 RS was 100 by 10 les than the normal pinto engine
