An oil pressure test with an oil pressure tester has to be performed to determine if it is actually oil pressure or a problem with the warning system, it could be that the oil pump you put in is a dud, I had it happen to me before.

I’m pretty sure your not meant to use any sort of additives to the oil on a wet belt engine 🤷‍♂️

Actually, there is a specific additive developed and recommended for wet drive belt engines, it helps keep the rubber compound supple, therefore reducing the wear that creates oil pump failure due to debris build-up in the crankcase which blocks the oil pump sieve pick-up.
