DISADVANTAGES OF ENDEAVOUR : 1- It doesn't have push button start/stop like in fortuner & many other cheap cars like micra 2- It doesn't provide easy ingress to last row seats like in fortuner 3- It doesn't have cooled glove box like in fortuner & many other cheap cars like i-20 4- It doesn't provide sharp white coloured led head lamps like in fortuner 5- It's warranty period is 2 years while fortuner's warranty period is 3 years 6- Resale value is not so good as that of fortuner DISADVANTAGES OF FORTUNER : 1- It doesn't provide panoramic sunroof like in endeavour 2- It doesn't provide terrain management system like in endeavour 3- It doesn't provide semi auto parallel parking assist like in endeavour 4- It doesn't provide electrically foldable 3rd row seats like in endeavour 5- Endeavour has bigger & powerful engine i.e. 3.2 than fortuner i.e. 2.8 6- It doesn't provide tyre pressure monitoring system like in endeavour & xuv 500 7- Endeavour has both front & rear parking sensors whereas fortuner has only rear parking sensors 8- It doesn't provide rain sensing wipers like in endeavour 9- Endeavour has 10 speakers while fortuner has 6 speakers 10- Endeavour's tachometer is digital while fortuner's tachometer is analog 11- Endeavour is providing electric power steering while fortuner's steering is hydraulic 12- Endeavour is providing active noise cancellation feature while fortuner doesn't PRICING- Endeavour is expensive than fortuner with difference of Rs 50000/- approx CONCLUSION- Endeavour is better than Fortuner

If you want an insane Toyota the Toyota 86 and the supra are only the ones. Also for ford cars like focus Fiesta ecosport explorer are just so insane. Fiesta in Europe always outsells the yaris. Mustang has been an legacy sport car for years. Ford have been successful in wven challenging cars like tesla with there mach e . Recently I read an article which said that tesla loosing ground to mustang mach e slowly making it an alternative for tesla. Ask Toyota to make such a car . Sure they won't because they only consider the reliability of a car compared all other aspects. Such a boring piece of crap

The thing over here : 1.Endeavour got sunroof - Fortuner No sunroof. 2. Endeavour got 3200 Cc - Fortuner got 2800cc. 3. Fortuner got paddle shifts - Endeavour does not have. 4. Endeavour has different types terrain systems - Fortuner has 4x4 mode. So over all endeavour has got good features but my friend the resale is what counts when you are buying expensive shit. The endeavour bought by my friend is the top varient any its just 8 months used hardly 18000 kms. He got it for 22lacs. The fortuner is the best what so ever.

Be it the comfort in driving and of passengers, the rich leathered interior when compared to dull and boring enterior of fortuner. The automatic transmission of endeavour is amazing when compared to that of fortuner. Thats one hell of a win for endeavour.

I own both the fortuner(2016 model) and the endy . The endy is far more superior than the older fortuner. When i test drove the new fortuner i was more than happy with my decision , buying a car with lesser features , power and a harsher ride quality does not make sense. Most people who have bought the fortuner is because of its precived reliability and better resale. I have covered almost 10,000 kms in my endy without facing a single issue till now . I also happen to own an A6 and can comfortably say the endy has one of the best insulated cabin , the ride quality is par excellent as well . If you want a better car for your money go with the endy .

1.no keyless entry, no request sensors, no start/stop button are advantages of endeavour because of security reasons if these features are present it can be stolen. 2.the extra weight of endeavour is its body panel strength if anybody have doubt check it in crash tests between endeavour, fortuner and pajero sport. 3.I agree Japan products are technically best but American products are stronger which lasts long.

what i learned from owning a car with a lot of features like ford is that there will always be a higher chance that one of the features breaks and will take a while to repair. unlike the simplicity in a fortuner where repairs and parts are almost never an issue.

MY THOUGHTS PLEASE -> If you are putting Rs 30L...you want exclusivity..you get that from Ford Endeavour. I was once standing at airport in Hyderabad.Ford Endevour stopped and every one from chicks to the cabbies were looking at the maroon giant.Just then a black brand new fortuner came by ..I keenly observed that very few looked at it. -> Ford fucked up the Endevour with their Pricing..sometimes up and sometimes low. Toyota stands tall there..there marketing/pricing strategy is deep and correct..look at Toyota Crysta Innova still selling like hot cakes inspite of high pricing. ->The real test of the vehicles will be done by the chauffeurs. Most of these vehicles will be run by them than the owners themselves and there Toyota Fortuner stands tall. They just love it. -> Ford has to prove itself in the aftersales..Toyota has a brilliant strategy here..any of the Toyota vehicles have low cost maintenance service charges . but parts are expensive. Ford needs to do the same..lower the service cost . ->Toyota does something very very meticulous.It ensures it has an amazing selection criteria to select the dealers. Not just someone who has money and retail space.Very disciplined approach there I am sure Ford might not do to that level and thats the catch..If you have good and disciplined dealers you have good sales of the vehicles.But if you select some dicks for that job..u know what happens. ->Remember people always buy what others buy..why would you be so adventerous to by Ford Endevour where in ford's service is no where near Toyota.Toyota has been world no.1....................it knows and that shows. ->Vehicle wise and features wise its Ford En devour hands down. Peace of mind wise its Toyota fortuner for sure. What do you want?

I really wanted to love the Fortuner but Toyota for some reason takes advantage of its Brand Value and is not really scared of the competitors because they sell them like hot cakes and can get away with the pricing. I still don't know why they skipped the Diff. Lock when you get one in Australia, Traction management systems can be good but even Land Rovers have them and their Off-Road systems are arguably the Best. Also I heard that the Fortuner has a service period of 5000 kms while the same Engine in the Hilux has a service period of 10000 kms ? - All in all, i really enjoyed watching this video !

Hi sir, your videos are very informative, such type of content is not created in India. I own a ford endeavour since the past two years, it is a 2.2l 4x4 manual trend model. I absolutely love the car in every way. I am looking to upgrade the car this year, my options are the ford endeavour top of the line 3.2 titanium, the skoda kodiaq l&k variant or the Fortuner 4x4 MT. I feel the Skoda kodiaq is a great car, its more comfortable and feels much more premium than them both, but the other two body on frame SUVs are built tough and they provide a piece of mind. Moreover the afersales department of Skoda in India is in a very bad shape and the resale value is much lower, since I prefer selling my car every 2 years or so because of my monthly run of 4000-5000 kms. The Toyota Fortuner is the best option in terms of after sales support, resale and reliability alone but it feels very utilitarian and I think is a bit overpriced in India. So, Ford endeavour is the car that I prefer it feels much comfortable and planted on rides as compared to Fortuner`s stiff suspension, ford is much planted and they have managed to hit a great spot between ride and handling balance, Ford’s got a more powerful engine and I enjoy driving it. I am still confused between the Fortuner and the Endeavour, the skoda is also a great car but its less powerful engine (which although felt faster than both fortuner and endeavour ) but even this does not do the job. I heard that BMW are also offering cash discounts on the X3. I would like to hear your suggestions on the above sir, if you suggest any other SUV apart from these in the 50L price bracket please let me know.

Appreciate ur knowledge about cars...in my opinion fortuner little bit ahead in terms of practicality especially we talk about mileage, reliability & resale value . Hence, our hard earned money is more secured in fortuner than endy . I like LED tail light of fortuner its look like Lexus lx 570.(sorry we can't see more Lexus in India but since Iam in Dubai we can see more Lexus than toyota..😉 knowing that both are siblings). But endy got good 5 ci lender engine where the endy has edge ... . My conclusion - ford endy has more emotional customers but Toyota fortuner has more rational customer that's shows in sale chart new fortuner sold above 10000 within 3 months where as ford endy only managed to sold 7000+ in 1.5 years... Yes I know Indian people are more rational.. 😎 😃😃.. Guysss ...Innova crysta sold 69500+ in 10 months that's history in India for a 20+ lakh car ..

First of all, excellent review! No doubt that the Endy is more desirable, but at the end of the day the bulletproof reliability and piece of mind offered by Toyota is something that you can't find in a ford, at least in India. Endy is a better product, but Fort will be the segment leader. I just wish the new Fort had a more masculine exterior.

I have seen it in flesh and yes the design did grow on me with time but as soon as I see the Endy or even compare it with our classic black fortuner, I go back to the day when I first saw it. The LED headlamps have great throw but they are too "Hyundai like". I hope that Toyota come up with a facelift in 2-3 years with a more mature yet butch front and of course more sensible tyre selection. P.S. Hi Veda, No Problem again even if you do use often. REMEMBER its a TOYOTA ENGINE these things may not harm the car, in fact what may harm is short trips, like say 1-2 kms. Switching on the engine, driving 1-2 kms & then reaching destination (which was just 1-2 kms away) and then shutting down the car even before the engine had warmed up. All the best !

Nice review. It is not just in SA, but in Australia also, which is a more mature and strong SUV/pick-up market, the Endeavour is priced atleast 25% more than the Fortuner which makes is it much more VFM in India (when you take out residual value out of the picture). Agree that the rev-matching on the Fortuner along with a great MT (by SUV standard) is the real treat. But is the Fortuner AT 4x4 any less capable than its MT variant off-road (identical tyres and all)? With identical hardware, for the average driver and the kind of terrain which these SUVs can be taken into, an AT is going to be easier off-road is what I expect. Endy is bogged down more by its excessive weight and extra wheel-base compromising the bank-over angles. But I presume that full-time 4wd to offer more traction on-road also when the surfaces are wet or less than idea.

Yes, the longer wheelbase of Ford is for better comfort, shorter wheelbase will impart more of the bumps onto the suspension, with long wheelbase the suspension will have a higher weight above each of its tires to cope up and the CG of Ford is lower, all this contribute to almost a non BOF like comfort in Endy compared to shall I say irritating ride quality in TFord

Hi Avinash, well when stuck in an off road obstacle or a slushy pit i have always been comfortable having the control i get with a manual transmission and is also far more satisfying coming out of such obstacles. BUT with the recent advancement in A/T boxes they have become equally capable and in fact easier as well (till you don't get stuck). Overall i believe the endeavour is a winner in most areas and being cheaper seals the deal in the Indian context.

S Y, i'd say pick the Endeavour as its the VFM option. Also the initial service costs will be similar. But in the long run during part replacements and also during the resale the Fortuner will be the winner.
