Put into rock mode, put it into 4 Low and lock the differential. Would had no problems.... and edge a bit to the left and get out of the grooves

Endeavor is almost 200 kgs more than that of the fortuner, that might be the one reason and also driving skills matters

This is not a comparison of both the cars, ofcourse the Fortuner has a lifted suspension, rocksliders and offroad bumper thats what gives it in an edge. Weight is not a limiting factor here.

And if it was not for lower approach angle on the endeavor due to the front bumpers which was removed in the fortuner there wouldn't be a competition

When doing off-road with endeavour always remove side stepper. It helps in doing proper off-roading. More over the guy who drove endeavour didn't knew how to use the other modes. Could have done. Diff locks

the tooyota has a much more aggressive tread design plus when going up the hill it was allowed to use momentum where as the endeavor stopped at the top and got stuck in the ruts

Very good but the Endeavour needed more momentum and turning front wheels would have helped . Why didn't you fill that hole in the bottom of pit seeing you had a shovel , those planks are going to move one day and someones going to fall down the hole and get stuck big time :-)

Stephen Kite Endy was getting beached due to less than adequate ramp-breakover angle. This obstacle is at a place where competitive off-road events are organised. The rut inside the rut is a part of some event I think.

Makes me wonder why Ford with so much expertise could not get the traction control system right. @anshuman , don't you think the system could have been a lot better especially when taking A-trac into consideration?

Joel Mammachen The endeavours has its stepboard scraping the ground. Fortuner had no stepboard and so it has better ground clearance. The tires in the fortuner has better traction since it is not stock compared to the endeavour. The endeavour's front shin is grazing the ground whereas fort is modified with higher ground clearance. Forty was given momentum during approach endeavour was made to stop and sit still because its scraping the ground. Not a good comparison. Both are capable but were not given equal treatment. Obviously to favor the other.

This was ground clearance issue, even I was driving situation would have been same. Kudos to Prateek for trying. With some lift, rock sliders and better quality All terrain tyres Endy will rock.
