Ford escape radio not working! Easy Fix

I pulled it out checked it, it was ok and put it back! Clean the connector pins with alcohol if possible.

@@sidology1.0 Try using small pliers, but there’s a little plastic tool that is located in the other fuse box by the engine bay. Just be patient 😂, and good luck.

How are you pulling them out? I can’t get mine to pull out at all. 2018 ford escape and I have no sound.

@@lisamichele9876 I used pliers at 3:06 but there is usually a little plastic tool to pull the fuses out, I didn’t see it on the one I was driving, but most gas stations sell spare fuses and the little plastic tool. The escape uses small fuses, there are some vehicles that have larger fuses as well or very tiny ones. Try to get some small electrical pliers and if not, try to get the little tool, autozone may have it. Take a screenshot of those in the video, just in case. Hi! It could work but the fuses for the radio are number 10 which is a 15A fuse and number 24 which is a 7.5A fuse. Check your owners manual to make sure those are the corresponding fuses for your specific vehicle. Remove them and if they are good, wait a few minutes before putting them Back to reset the radio, that could work. If not, disconnect the car battery for at least 5-10 minutes. Hope it works. Try it at your own risk. Be careful, I’m not a mechanic or tech mechanic but Ive seen a lot of people solving their issue. I’m not responsible for any damages or changes to property.

So the only question I have now since it’s happened more than once and thanks for the video is. Is the fuse bad or is it something else the computer etc?

It only happened once to me! You can replace the fuse, maybe the legs (connectors) that make contact inside the fuse panel are fading! Like 2 metal pieces of the fuse that go inside the box are not making contact the right way! Not sure if it’s something else with the computer on your vehicle! Try replacing the fuse and making sure the contact point is clean (no corrosion)

Do you know how to fix camera on 2014.. keeps telling me " rearview mirror not available " then I put it back in park then I put in reverse then the camera will work again... so frustrating.

Try going to: Settings then: Vehicle/ camera/ then make sure rear camera delay is off, visual park and alert off! Try that. And reply here. Good luck.

@Abel Dominguez I liked it, I’ve had lots of different cars in the past, I liked the Ford Escape, I used it for a month! Not even the top trim but was good! The only downside I believe is transmission problems sometimes! I currently own a 2019 Mazda CX5 Grand Touring 2019, Feels like a german vehicle with the build quality of the materials! Good on gas (Better than advertised) Fully loaded, and The 6 speed transmission is reliable, Mazda and Toyota share some components etc! I had a 2019 Toyota Avalon XSE AND GOT Totaled in Oct 2022 :( not my fault but I loved that car!

Maybe yours has a premium sound system? And the amp is bad? Sometimes the mic for Bluetooth connection can cause distortion and the speakers or subwoofer to make weird sound. Bad ground too.

@@RareRapVideozJust saw this a while ago and it can be the module, some people had to replace the unit, but for some, replacing the fuse and cleaning the fuse pins and the fuse socket pins worked.

Any audio problems with a ford disconnect the negative battery terminal and touch the negative cable to the positive cable for 15 seconds this lets the system reset .

If you have an 08-12 Ford Escape and you're here because your sync keeps disconnecting the Bluetooth media: The Sync fuse is the 3rd fuse moving from left to right on the bottom row of the fuse box in your passenger floorboard/console area. Remove it while your vehicle is running, turn it off and put the fuse back in, then start your vehicle and it should be good to go.
