A tip to make removing old seam sealer easy is to take a small torch (butane/propane/map) and torch the old sealer. It will soften or burn. Then take a wire brush and it just comes off. Easy way to do quick.

How do I say this without you wanting to prove me wrong since you watched my video and you asked this question . There’s a lot of reasons that you shouldn’t do it, the biggest one being that it is exactly the same size so it won’t fit over the top of it Do the work properly make the vehicle last because even if you’re not gonna be driving it and you’re gonna sell it to somebody else you’re just selling them something that will be the same way six months to a year later if you cut out the rust, it won’t start rusting and it won’t rust your new panel

I was planning on flux welding but its like -20c in Ontario Canada and I need my car and to hopefully get another 60000 miles out of it. Not all of us have the money to just buy a new car. Because of the high voltage battery had to remove that bracket that sticks out. Also disconnected the battery main connector. Once warmer weather comes my way I will secure it more. Just wanted to show u how it looks with the battery.

Remove the Spot welds from the wheel well on the outside of the car it will make it simpler for you because the actual metal comes apart from the outside and then you will be able to drill out the spot welds around the top from the inside.

The same thing happened to my mother in law but it's on the driver's side and it doesn't look like there is a aftermarket part for this. Up here in Minnesota I'm not likely to find a suitable replacement at any junkyard. Is making one a possibility? I've got a welder, plasma cutter and a plethora of power tools. What if I just bought some 20-14 gauge steel sheet and formed it? The tower base plate is still solid so I probably won't have to do super complex forming, just lap it in bolt and weld.

I’ve done a couple of hundred of these and this is the only time that I ever did one this way I did this because this is a KZbin channel not Dans master mechanic Shop where somebody’s paying $2000 to have this Shock tower replaced. And I doubt you would’ve made this comment I’m not certain if you would’ve actually watched the video. Because in the video I describe exactly why I did it this way and that I would never do it this way again but it is an option and as a matter fact I don’t remember exactly when I did this but it was probably two months before I actually Posted the video. And it gets driven about 60 miles every single day I put a guarantee on it and I have not heard anything from the guy with no complaints so I do think it’s a suitable repair. Q: is your favorite way to repair them. A: absolutely not. But for somebody on a budget it’s definitely a way you could do it and it seems to work just fine

It comes to brakes, suspension, Nope you fix it right or not at all is my motto. The floor pan where it connects needs to be integral to the shock mount. Nope can't endorse that type of repair at all.

Well I’m assuming you’re trying to make yourself feel better by blowing out my candle to make yours brighter if you would’ve actually watched the video instead of skipping through it you would’ve learned that that was the first and only time I attempted that procedure and that I actually was the one to every first to do this on KZbin and you’ll see that I have several videos on this particular subject. I’m not the one searching out the ways to do it cheaper but there are people out there that don’t have the same level of abilities that I have welding and fabricating etc. etc. and you just happen to throw shade on the wrong guy because you’re a complete moron… i’m certain during your searches of trying to repair this problem you probably came across to one of the other 10 videos I have on the subject. You probably won’t admit it because you’re probably some liberal piece of crap but if you watch any of my other videos you’ll find out that I am very skilled at this procedure and this was a one time one off. To help save people money. Even though I’m fairly certain you won’t understand something like that because your pockets are so deep but there are people out there that don’t have the same amount of money in their pockets like others have a good day douche bag
