Just bought 2015 F150 king ranch Friday with big tires. It rode rough . Bought Michelin’s thinking that would make it smooth. It was awful. Ruled out vacuum/ 4wd issues. Figured out today, Monday, that it was a bad bearing. Watched your video; called Oriely and they had the hub assembly. I bought it and installed tonight, Monday; it is smooth as butter. Thank you for that awesome video. It took two hours and 15 minutes with an additional trip to advance auto for an 18 mm socket and locktite. It took a huge weight off of me. I didn’t want my wife to find out I had spent all that money for a truck that sounds like he’ll riding down the road. Thanks for the information!

What symptoms did you experience? Was the truck wandering at all? In the steering.
@Raydarman12 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the video. I have a brake bleeder but my compressor was at my other house I’m remodeling. When the ignition is off it engages in 4wd. I just placed the hub, held it with my hand and rotated the wheel till the gears engaged then tightened it down. Works perfectly.

Really appreciated the time you took to make this video. I have an F150 2015 Ecoboost and I think one of the bearings is going out, when I turn right at about 50mph the wheel vibrates and squeels a bit. Gonna check later this weekend, great video!

You turned the truck on to pull the vacuum when aligning the new hub? (Instead of his brake line bleeder trick?)
@creativecutter2 жыл бұрын
why do you need the brake bleeder to retract the hub if you only need to start the motor to supply vacuum to the line? Followed all the steps you showed except that and got a good install without the need for the brake bleeder. Great video all in all! Thank you!!!

@anthonymiller44682 жыл бұрын
You don’t have to pull the vacuum line off.. just turn the truck on and put it in 4high and it will position the ring where it needs to be for installation. Then once it’s in place and the hub is on and torqued put it back in 2 wheel drive.

Don't you want to keep in in 2WD so the ring is in? 4WD would push the ring out and not give you the space to mount the hub?

Great Video! I was experiencing issues with my IWE on the passanger side, It would not go into 2wd mode, Vaccum is alright, so I replaced the IWE, but still I will only stay on 4wd mode, could this be due to a badly installed Wheel bearing?

Could be vacuum hose or iwe check valve or solenoid as well

All of these trucks equipped with 4A(AWD) so Lariat Trim and Higher have this recurring issue which the dealer will tell you that all they have to do it replace a check valve in the vacuum like and it’s fixed. However it’s not the case and needs to have the bearing replaced

Hello great video , i few years ago i had a problem , i add spacers to lift truck , at the shop they disconected the vacccum for any reason and when i went for the car i drove a few blocks i and a very noise came , this part was broken , the replace it but i am afraid to put coilovers for the same reason , if they disconnect the vaccum line and put it back it is fine ? Or they need to do the same process you did on this video ? I will really appreciate your answer

I would do it the same way I did it, you also can start the truck to add vacuum while you put it back together so you don’t have to use the tool to add vacuum.
