When I was a teen in the late 1990s, I worked for a well driller (water wells) for a summer. He had four Kodiak trucks. *1992 C70 4x4 (20ft bed) 225hp. Carried a 2" hammer drill. Used a 45hp engine to run the hammer drill. *1996 C7500 2x4 (24ft bed) 280hp. Water truck, extra pipes, etc. Usually pulled a trailer with more parts. *1997 C7500 4x6 (24ft bed) 360hp. (4" auger drill, driven by engine PTO). This one pulled the Ditch Witch. *1995 C8500 6x6 (30ft bed) 425hp. (8" auger drill with dedicated 240hp drill engine) . All of them could drive almost anywhere. Even the 2WD water truck. (it did have a rear axle locker for when things got sticky)

the C70 is in a weird place, it's underpowered for a medium truck, but does well for light loads

The F-750, I think, is easily the best scout. I mean it outperforms some off road trucks as seen in the video and it has so many add-on options and can even carry cargo. It's powerful, fuel efficient, very off-road capable when fully upgraded and looks very nice too. The only downside is that it is found on one of the more difficult maps in the game and is not too great in it's stock form - quite dependent on upgrades.

I guess Chevy uses the same frame for 4x2 and 6x4 Kodiaks, judging by the frame lenght. Well, then just give us the ingame possibility to convert the Kodiak to 6x4 as well.

I prefer the f750 for exploration because of the live axles. So you don’t even have to use low.

Kodiak is best truck in game. In drag race, it looks like it had the offroad gearbox swap. It doesnt need, nor benefit from it. Highway box all the way! Not sure how got it stuck like that. Usually it muds well. It really needs a little weight in the back, too light naked. Need that weight rearward and get it more on the rear axle, front loaded only flat deck can cause issues. Also had the annoying underslung sidemount spare tire. Rigged I tells ya... rigged!

Id love to see a mod with several versions of the Kodiak. A really short single axle Semi Tractor, a version with a clipped rear frame. A version with a second rear axle. Another version with dual rear axles but stretched so the bed can hold 3 units of cargo. Also I think the lift kit available in game should be able to support 48" tires. And pure off road tires like the taiga balloons as well as tractor and earthmover style tires would be nice.

5х4 должно быть, последние два испытания не корректные. У форда дифф заблокирован постоянно, а у кодиака разблокирован, и как раз надо было дифф у кодиака включать в сложных ситуациях.

The Kodiac was cheated through out theses tests the gear box either standard or high are better than off-road closer to the six gears of the Ford,then running it just frame it needs weight i feel the fords heavier in game,and then loading in the middle of the truck over the axel would of been fairer like the Ford was,also why tow a trailer with the weight yet again in the middle? And the weirdest one the kodiac climbs up rocks well compared to the Ford so on on-even terrain would of being interesting

Any test with the trucks in auto gives the ford an advantage due to it's always on difflock. That said, the F750 is much more practical due to the huge amount of fuel, repair parts and spare tires it can carry. The C70 can be made usable enough upgrades, but can be outdone by other trucks for pretty much anything you're doing with it.

On 5:59,it clearly shows that the Kodiak's load was not over the back tires,but rather in a different area. The F-750,however has its load over the back tires.This is unfair and unwelcome in comparisons.

It also had multiple tests revolving around off-road, which gave the f750 an unfair advantage cause it could gain more point for the same thing, and also it looks like on the ice challenge he went up a steeper incline, no hate to either truck though cause I love them both, I just feel like the video was a bit biased

I use Kodiak c70 for any small jobs with two slots. This dude had something going on with his in the video. Mine is raised with awd and diff lock and it hauls through mud and never gets stuck I use it close to the most of any truck

Imagine how much better the C70 is that it got everything done on Auto and with DIFF OFF. With good use of LOW+ and Diff ON, nothing to do for the F750. The C70 is the best "scout" in the game. And i played it on Max difficulty. Go and test yourself, this random test isnt reliable.

You must uninstall Spare wheel from C70 before. C70 is capable truck, but its spare wheel suck, making its stuck everywhere.. and this is a problem on almost american truck with underbody spare wheel

From my experience, f750 is better for smaller cargo, and the c70 is best for light maps with heaver cargo, like a heavy crane. As the 750 is lighter, more fuel efficient, and most importantly; faster on the road and mud.

Ford with some tweaks should be moved to heavy duty trucks category and Kodiak should be moved to scouts or highway, Kodiak working poorly in this game.

@@simplemind9192 yeah I don't know anything about trucks I only own a 12 valve Cummins synced up to a 5mt getrag360 manual transmission a 85 toyota pickup with a 22re, an engine I personally rebuilt by hand. But other than that I literally don't know anything else

I don't like both of them. Especially the F750. Even a fully upgraded GMC MH9500 is way better than these trucks.
