FORD F100 FRONT SUSPENSION REMOVAL

Continuing with the Ford F100 truck build, I discover wear in the bolt hole that ties the radius arm to the front suspension I beam. This requires that I remove the complete Ford F100 twin beam suspension assembly. I also come up with a plan to fix the problem.

Many people wonder why repairs to their vehicles are so expensive! They should come along for the entire ride when doing repairs. At the dealer, I would call folks to come in after they got off work, stop in and I would be there. I would explain to them what this part is, how it works and what needs to be done to correct it. I gave them the information to go home and make an intelligent decision based upon what showed and explained. I always gave them the option of waiting unless something was real bad, or leads to more cost. Dov, this video is one of those! One thing leads to another, regardless if in Omaha or in the "Forest" of South Africa. Great info and I hear others say "Bush" as we call it "Bushing". Still the same! It is worn out and needs repair. In the states, they wouldn't fix it, just order a new one, from Taiwan!😅

Why didn’t you use another big ass wrench with the one on the 1 1/8” radius arm bushing nut? Today I had to use two wrenches because my 1000 lbs torque impact would not budge it even after I soaked it.

What engine does that truck have? 300 Straight six. I’m doing a frame off on my 79 F150 Styleside Custom Pickup. In the middle of dropping the front suspension.

I bought it with a straight six diesel in, but changed it to 351 Windsor.
