Matt's Off Road Recovery

Matt's Off Road Recovery

4 жыл бұрын

We got a call for a Ford F150 FX4 towing a small coachman clipper camp trailer, that had got stuck on the beach. They had it buried pretty good, but with the kenetic energy from the yankum rope, and some tire spin from the little yellow banana, we got them out just fine. We had to drag them a ways down the beach to gain enough momentum to get up the beach.
Ed opens the mail! We have been getting all kinds of cool packages! Thank you so much! Our fans really are what make this worth doing!
And finally we know why the camera guy is always breathing so hard! haha c'mon Randy get in shape!

Matt, I respect and thank you for the way you treat your customers and also for the love and consideration you give your beautiful dogs. I'm 83 and have learned through the journey of my life that the character of men can be accurately judged by the way they treat their animal companions. The love and loyalty of dogs for their humans is a treasure that goes far beyond the consideration and respect we share with other humans.

I never would have thought watching towing recovery videos would be so entertaining. Thanks for filming them Matt. I’ve pulled several people out in my day, but I’ve learned a lot from watching your channel. I got me one of those Yankum ropes for the truck. Looks like they make all the difference.

Honestly, I have been binge-watching and it's one of my favourite parts! I love seeing where all the stuff comes from (as a Canadian who grew up near the US border, I was really happy to see those treats from Michigan- they are so good!). This channel is a lesson in The Golden Rule, and it's nice to see good people doing well.

I have to say,, I enjoy your videos... I used to do a lot of offroading in my early years, so watching your videos takes me back when I helped a lot of people in need out there in the sand,,,,,, The majority of them were because of inexperience, and just needed a tug,,, but i will not leave this comment with out sayin, your little awesome jeep, makes a lot of top car brands seem a little to be shamed about, hahahaha, I do beleive it to be the inexperience of it all,,,, Love your channel, keep us entertained , we appreciate it, for all of us that can no longer be out there enjoying the adventure,, because, even though it is a bussinness, i see that sparkle in your eyes when you do it, you enjoy it and it shows.....

My mom and grandmother both bought those cookies often when I was a kid here in Green Country, the northeast corner of Oklahoma. So I don't know about them being a Northern thing but they were definitely loved in our area too. I laughed when Ed unwrapped those cookies because I recognized them before he even turned them around towards the camera lol. Always enjoy the look on Ed's face when he opens up the mail, like a kid on Christmas morning, lol.

Viewers comment about the dangers of a shackle on Yankums, that is nothing compared to how dangerous a 1/2 Cable is. I had it happen to a brand-new 100ft, 1/2" Cable on twin 8,000 Ramsey winches. Against my wishes, my much older fellow driver instructed me to try and pull his 3 Ton Wrecker with a fully loaded plumbing van attached up outta a hollow. The customer asked me if the cables ever break. I said Oh Yeah they do, if it hits you it will kill you; he hid behind my truck. You can hear a cable go ting, ting before it breaks and I ducked and you could hear that cable coming through the trees. The brand new machine crimp did not fail, the brand new cable failed from fatigue as a result of overload. I seen lots of cables chokers and nylon straps break in the air hoisting steel, there is always a warning sound before failure. Rigging is so super critical, watching Matt, he shows excellent judgement from his many years of experience. I have seen Journeyman Ironworkers get lazy and use old worn rigging just before the load plummets. Matt buys top quality rigging and always does a good look over before he begins; this is not a Bulls arena, he assesses the situation and makes a workable plan given available resources. And as always Be Safe out there folks.
