Thank you sooooo very much for this tutorial. I thought I was going crazy hitting that hazard button. Saved me $400 in replacement parts and installation from a "reputable" tire shop who couldn't figure it out.

I had the exact issue and thanks to your video I was able to get my new sensor to get recognized by the BCM. Very good tutorial, just hard to get the right count when I was switching it on and off, took me a few tries before it went into the reset mode.

I have one sensor that reads blank I’m assuming it’s bad. So if I have a new one put in your saying this intention on off brake method is how I get the new tpms programmed to read the pressure and won’t have to plug into the computer/ECU to program it? Is that correct?

Hey MacGyver I installed a new tire pressure sensor exactly like the old one but I can't get it to wake up. Any tips I have a tool that currently wakes up the other sensors that I did not change

@@leethompson9797 you have to learn the new sensor. The standard procedure only resets the locations after a tire rotation. Follow this video to put it in learning mode. And start letting air out

@@wbgarywpthank you so much for the reply. Even still after programming it just like the video it still won't detect it. I'm thinking maybe the sensor has to wake up after driving. It looks like this motorcraft sensor was packaged in 2017. 😊😊 So far I tried some Amazon universal sensors and when I couldn't program these using the method in the video I bought motorcraft. Any insight would be greatly appreciated

@@leethompson9797 it may have a dead battery. 7 years is a lot of shelf life. It might help to do a short drive and then try programming again

This worked perfectly for my 2017 f250. Put a second sensor in me tire after dealing with 1 tire not showing up. First time in a couple years without a single dash light on. Thanks man!

I have a 2011 ford f-150 and this truck doesn’t have a button to start. Do you know of a combination that would relearn a new sensor for this old truck? Thanks so much

Ignition off press and release brake pedal. Ignition on, off, on, off, on. Press and release brake pedal. Ignition on, off, on, off, on. Horn should sound. Leave that ignition on and program your sensors

@@wbgarywp dude huge thanks for this response. My 2016 F-150 doesn't have the push button start so I had to use this method. I was about to give up until I came across this. I'm making a how-to video for replacing the TPMS sensors. I'll give you a shout out and credit for this method. Thanks again, and subscribed.

On my 2016 F-150 Lariat this didn't work. However, the following did work and recognized the single new sensor and the other 3 existing ones: 1. With ignition OFF, press and release the brake pedal. 2. Turn the ignition from OFF to Run 3 times, ending in the Run Position. 3. Press and release the brake pedal. 4. Position the ignition to OFF position. 5. Turn the ignition from OFF to Run 3 times, ending in the Run position. The horn will sound if you did it right, then follow the instructions in the message center. Train the tires LF/RF/RR/LR with the TPMS tool. The horn will sound after each tire and, after the last beep, the message center will say training complete. Hopefully this will be of use for others.

I am having the same issue with my left rear sensor. I replaced it and attempted to reset but the new sensor doesn’t read. I tried to relearn sensors and my other sensors will not relearn but they will reset. Wtf!?! Any suggestions?

Check to make sure the new sensors the correct MHz

I apologize for not posting an update. It worked! Just as you described. I purchased the $11 ford tool and boy was it worth it. Deflating the tire was killing me! Thank you 🙏🏽

Mind sharing which tool is it? I’m having the same exact issue. Replaced all 4 sensors 315 MHz. Followed all procedures and still not responding
