Ford F250 flashing tow light FIX

For anyone with a Ford F series, can happen to other Ford models as well. Flashing tow light, high idle, hard shifting, no start or random no start and stuck in overdrive FIX. Codes p0507 p0528 p0603 p0706 p0707 p01000 FIX

True story. I'm in the middle of nowhere south Carolina Saturday at noon coming from Florida headed to ohio. Nothing is open till Monday. I checked everything watched videos and then yours. I can't thank you enough that I didn't have to sit in parking lot for two days. No hotels near. Thanks alot.

What is the connection between the fan clutch going bad and the tow/haul flashing? It doesnt seem like the two should be connected. Thanks

My best guess since it's not really a confirmed answer that I have found but the fan clutch wiring is on the same circuit as the PCM. So my guess is that when shorted out or overloaded, it is causing the PCM to act up and throw codes, random no start, and when it does run it runs in limp mode with hard shifts.

Temp sensors don’t require programming. The transmission temp sensor will leak fluid once removed so just make sure to replace any lost fluid and you should be able to drive as usual no programming required.
