Just wanted to leave a comment on an issue that I had with my F-650. I put in two brand new batteries and I noticed that there was no power to anything. No crank, no start, and no power to dashboard. After several hours I saw a switch by the steps. I flipped the switch and immediately I heard the alarm for the driver door being open. I put the key in the ignition and tried to start the vehicle about 15 times with no luck. I then went to the local Walmart and got some Starter Fluid. When I opened the hood it said never to use starting fluid in the intake. I disregarded this message and sprayed it once. It cranked but still didn't start. I sprayed it a second time with a large volume of starting fluid. Turned the key and then it started! Had to wait for the brakes to get the right PSI and I drove it 800 miles!

Great Diagnosis Deo! In the future be sure to protect your back-probe power supply (jumper wire from positive jumper cable) with a fuse so you don't risk burning up a a TCM. A 50 cent fuse in between two of your jumper leads is cheap insurance when performing tests like these. How do you like your TEXA laptop? I have a JPRO laptop but the TEXA looks very user friendly.

Another good diagnosis! I wonder if the built in wiring diagrams on the Texa show the TCU power wire as well in case it’s shared with the ABS module. I have the Texa marine scanner and found the interactive wiring diagrams useful.

Bart Young Thank you!! That's a good point! I know this Texa tool has wiring diagrams but I don't use them, Lol! I'm so used to using Mitchel wiring diagrams, I checked off camera and the ABS unit gets power from a different Fuse!! Good Point though and thanks for reminding me about the Texa wiring diagram, I completely forgot about them!

Highest Forward Gear My Pleasure! the difference between Pending codes and stored codes is that! Pending codes are codes that are not active, some Pending codes require two strips or two starts to become active, so it's a pending code when it has failed both failing strips but a stored code is a code that has been stored in the computer's memory and may or may not be active while the Engine computer is being scanned!

I dont know why most shops they dont do wires integrity check before replacing the part, they suppose to do that first and then replacing the part second if wires integrity checked ok.
