@@DonsTrix for me it's absolutely not about the money, at all. It's about the memories and the feelings you get while driving them. Now how expensive all those old beauty's are I will never be able to get those feelings again. Once my mate was buying a XB 351 Coupe for $2500 with 6 month's rego. We went to pick it up and in this guy's backyard was SLR 5000's and I mean 2 or 3 of them, HQ Monaro, XU1 and more. He would have sold them all to us for $30,000 to $40,000 Max. A few year's later a guy gave me a HQ Premier 202 for a old TV. My X girlfriends Dad sold his VK Calias 5.0 to a wreckers for $500. The shit we did. Anyway as I said we weren't to know just how much we would miss them.

Loving the tailgate. I believe it’s common to have a technical tweak on the tailgate hinges to make them fit a bit better. It’s ok you may only have to take it on an off another 80 times but it will be close after that. Then repeat that process for every panel on the car. Staying strong here like your doing is critical. Making it all fit now only pays off when the last part is fitted at the end. But gosh will it pay. You will stand back and think “Ford couldn’t make it fit but I did” Keep up the good work. We will ride the highs and lows with you.

Im short 1 of the catches that bolt to the ute for the tail gate latch, did you get new ones, if so where did you get them, or did you get your original ones plated. Mine are cast shit metal and someone has melted one trying to undo seized screws by the look of it. Cheers from Phil, NZ

Panel gaps or build quality in a late-60s Aussie car like this ute was probably comparable to most car manufacturing across the world from that time - particularly Nth & Sth America, and most of Europe - similar manufacturing techniques etc.
