Hi Andrew , great work with the painting mate! every day you get better and better , thats awesome!. may a suggest you turn those doors around so the weight is evenly spread over the panel. you "can" actually cause dents in the panels from the stand . ask me how i know lol . utes coming along so nice mate well done for giving it a crack. if your worried about trash in your clear , throw an extra couple coats on with suitable flash times , then you can sand and polish it out . your finish is awesome off the gun keep it up mate!

I couldn't quite make out what you were saying when you pointed the camera at the roof. But if it was crap falling on a windy day then what about taping one of those plastic sheets used for drop sheets to the roof. Job looks really good so far.

I understand wetting the floor when spraying to stop dust rising , but does it add moisture into the paint ? Or you wait for a low Humidity Day to Spray ?
@DonsTrix
@DonsTrix Ай бұрын
The wet floor doesn’t seem to make any difference. I wondered that myself, but I have been assured it’s OK. Having a wet floor, makes a big difference, keeping the dust in debris out of the paint. :-)

Looks awesome Don, can you tell us about your compressor, and what do you do for a water trap with the air given you live in a humid climate, Cheers
@DonsTrix
@DonsTrix Жыл бұрын
Hi Greg, it hasn’t been that humid here lately. Saying that humidity can be a problem. My compressor and water trap is just standard. If not a little old I have had it for a long time. When they get hot water can be a problem. I don’t seem to use my compressor long enough for it to be a big problem. :-)

What can I say I’ve gone and done it wrong. Adam, you should’ve told me that a year ago. What am I to do now? $150,00 1884 was a lot of money I suspect, and still looks good that is remarkable. they must’ve use some pretty durable paint. :-) 🤣😂

Neely all the solid colors painted these days are enamel paint. They just put Hardner in it, which makes it two parts However, I am not an expert in paint I just do what my paint shop man tells me to do because he is my guru. If you have any real questions, you should ask your local automotive paint shop man! When are use my paint it is like using acrylic lacquer for base and enamel clear on top. That’s how it sprays and feels. :-)
