My husband didn't make it, he passed in 2021. Lions fan since 1960 when he was 6 years old. But I was there in his place. And always will be.

My 14 year old son and I lit sage and danced around the room calling on all the past Lion fans and players spirits to help us finish it. We did this just seconds before Amon Ra caught that dagger of a first down.

My dad passed away last March. He was a big Lions and Wolverines fan and told me in January that next year will be a special year in football in this town. Boy was he right. I wish I could be celebrating with him right now but sharing this with him in a different way. Let's go get it Lions!

This is second for me to the first Red Wings Stanley Cup. I teared up when the Wings won that first Stanley because I never thought in all of those Yzerman years leading up to that that they would ever get over that hump. This is second to the first Stanley Cup and it's one Wild Card game. Also, I'm a lifelong Michigan fan and this hit harder than the natty. If the Lions win the NFC Championship or dare I say it... I don't know how I am going to feel.

My Uncle died last year. When he was healthy sometime before dying, he talked about how he couldn’t wait until the start of the 2023 NFL season. He and I both knew the Lions were going to be good. He didn’t live to see it 😢

When the Rams had the ball and they were marching down the field, my head immediately brought up the Lions games I had seen dozens and dozens of times. Have a late lead, only to lose to a last second field goal. ...and then it didn't happen. I am still riding the high from Sunday night. I hope Ford Field is loud enough this weekend that I can hear it in Virginia. Go Lions.

It's great to see the young folks enjoy an important game. I vividly remember when the '68 Tigers won the World Series. I just mustered out of the infantry then & a lot of buddies were still in Nam. Ask the old-timers. Man, what a party that was especially after the '67 Riot. The city really came together to celebrate. I think for the Lions the best is yet to come. Savor it.

2:42 Mike got me choking on my oatmeal this morning. My step dad said for 20 years he would die before the Lions won another playoff game. He passed away in the fall of 2022. I've been wearing his old Lions hat all season. I wish he were here to see it.

To be fair, Detroit cheered Stafford even after he chose to leave and win with the Rams. He of all people should understand how much winning meant to the city.

The fans made it clear. They have turned the page. That night was all about Jared Goff. Even the boos for Stafford were not specifically about him. It was all about letting Goff know that he’s our guy. The other guy is just a QB for another team.

I'm a 61 year old life long Lions fan, I've lived within 25 miles of Detroit my entire life. This to me is the biggest win in my lifetime. Yes we made it to the NFC championship game by winning one game in 91 but everyone knew that was as far as we could go, no one believed we could beat Washington. There was a sense of that was as good as we could get. This time we expect to beat the Bucs for a second playoff win and I don't think the 49ers are a lock to make the SuperBowl. Why not us? Also this time you get the feeling this is still just the beginning for this team, we should be in the hunt for the forseeble future with the culture shift that has FINALLY happened. Go Lions! Go Goff!

The Lions were definitely disrespected by all the Rams picks from sports media, but the game ended 23-24. It’s not like there weren’t concrete reasons to pick the Rams and they were almost right.

Beating a good team that was playing a good game. This sets your plate to win other games that are a chess match. Grit wins games. The Detroit Lions are perhaps the best situational football team in the NFL. Not the most talented team but the team that has a whole playbook available in game determining situations. Third down, fourth down, and goal to go situations, no one is more prepared. No one has played there playbook in game situations than the Lions. No situation will phase this team. They may lose but not because they weren’t prepared. They have limitations in the secondary but they play tough red zone defense. Go Lions.

It was loud around 110-120 decibels during the whole game and the Goff chants were AWESOME, but it didn't get as loud as I expected or as others say it did in my opinion

It didn’t sound much different than other packed Detroit games on the TV broadcast. It certainly didn’t sound like the Silverdome playoff clips, however there’s about 20,000 less seats in Ford Field. It was definitely rocking, but I think the hype from our fans all season has spoiled us. The chants 30 minutes before kickoff was definitely different, but once the ball is snapped I think Ford Field has been a playoff atmosphere all season long.

@dannye7612 I went to the Panthers, Falcons, Raiders, Broncos, & Vikings game and this past one was as loud as MNF against the Raiders, but wasn't noticeably louder. It was just more consistent throughout the game against the Rams

@@cameron3934it didn’t sound that loud on TV. Meaning not deafening. I used to go to the Silverdome and it was 80,000 screaming. Unreal. One game the Lions got a 5 yard penalty b/c the QB literally could not snap the ball. That’s as loud as it gets.

Anywhere I've traveled across the country, I've always said the Detroit Lions for close to 50 years had an inherent venue advantage. Mike, imagine Giants Stadium at it's fandom peak with a teflon roof. That was the Silverdome. And this resource was wasted. That baffling.

@@completethoughts Aidan was drafted in 2022, Carter in 2023. What Rico said was that the Lions could have and should have drafted Jordan Davis instead of Jamo (Davis was drafted next,) and drafted Carter instead of trading down and drafting Gibbs (although I'm not sure he stands behind that idea any more.) I could maybe see the Davis thing (when it was announced that the Lions had traded up I had thought that they'd be picking Davis, but instead they got Jamo and I was like...hmm...and only because Jamo was hurt at the time.) And I can even have the conversation with Rico about taking Carter not trading down and taking Gibbs because Montgomery has been SO good but the Defensive line (especially Carter's position) still needs help...although I LOVE Gibbs and am SO glad he's on the team.
