I have the same symptom in my Focus Sigma, it is not constant, but when the idle starts to oscillate, it is possible that the next step is the triggering of DTC 2119, which suggests a fault with the motorized throttle, although I believe that the diagnosis is not along those lines. So now, I'm thinking that that the pcv valve could be the reason. Any suggestion?

I have that problem with the 'bouncing' tacho at idle, but the MIL, oil pressure, and battery lights all repeatedly flicker on and off while it's doing it. As soon as I open the throttle and add some load, it dosappears and only returns once the RPMs come down again. Could this be just a bad PCV valve?

But why you changed all house and pcv valve? Why not just pcv valve?

You cannot buy the PCV valve separately, it's integrated into the oil separator.

My fiesta st has recently started with a wierd issue, once up to temperature, the idle goes to about 2500 then back down, a few seconds later goes up again, then back down. Any ideas what could be the issue? I changed a water hose recently then it started doing this a few weeks later.

@@MustangMotors Yes, no fix unfortunately. A friend suspected and changed out the purge pipe, no fix. Really puzzled, dealership says nothing is wrong with the vehicle, they can clearly see and hear it but insist it's normal since it was not throwing any codes

@1Steph not sure if you’re still experiencing the same issue but it could be your throttle body, they suggested changing the air filter as well! Mines been making a noise forever really! I even had fuel system changed but they couldn’t figure out the noise, of course there’s other things that happened to happen to me m. I’ve changed almost all parts that commonly go wrong in a Fiesta, the craziest one was a sensor and needing to update because my car literally just shut off on me while I was driving.

my fiesta mk5 does this at cold start but warm start it idles nicely @ 850. Any ideas?

on cold start engine idles above 1000 rpm, I think its okay

@@MustangMotors it never revved over 1000rpm on cold starts before though. i put it into reverse it increases to nearly 2000rpm all of a sudden

It could be timing belt, have you replaced or serviced the timing belt
