No need to ruin the nylon tubing. Take your time with a small 90 degree pick and the heat gun to release the tubing. Also just reuse the rubber mounting grommet.

Would like to know what year was the part good for because its next to impossible to find that purge valve for a 2011 Fiesta SES. I can find many for the model years 2013 and onward. Im a big gentleman and my arms will not fit in the spots to get the lines off the engine or in back by the firewall. I have done this before on other vehicles but usually its just unclamp some hose, take out the part and put in replacement and reattach the hoses. I think this design was just dumb on Ford's part. Anyway. What year is that part you got made for? Did it clear your code? Did it make your engine run any smoother buy not having a constant vacuum?

he literally explained it well enough to do it. If you really need more of an explanation, you're better off paying for the whole evap hose at dealer cost. You probably shouldn't DIY it.

Why would it not work long term? He has clamps for the hosing and its only that stupid purge valve that flakes out and throws the code. Personally I think Ford was stupid making one replace the lines also when its only the valve that usually needs replacing.

You didn't have to cut the ends off like you did . There's a quicker way in 10mins and done... Good video tho
